wifes fear of pictures

Hello,

We are planning on going to hedo next summer 2016. My wife is concerned about people snapping photos or video of the parties here? Can anyone shed light on this one way or the other? I know that cameras are not allowed in the nude areas. Thoughts as I want to help put her at ease to enjoy a super vacation.

Pics are not allowed at any of the parties. At dinner only. And this rule is strictly enforced.

On the beach and at the nude pool i never saw anyone even using an iPad or a phone. I guess at the nude pool it would be possible for someone in one of the rooms overlooking the pool to take a picture but again i never noticed anyone in the rooms pointing a phone or camera out the window. I did see a newbie couple open up the blinds and got to see their first glimpse at the nude pool craziness. Their reaction was priceless. Total jaw dropping shock on their faces. The place where people are mostly on the phone is in the courtyard where there is free wifi,and aside from people wearing their theme outfits at night there isn't much to take pictures of there. Just people coming and going to meals in clothes. My wife and I had similar concerns about pictures and overall safety at the resort (thinking booze + nudity= potential issues) prior to booking, so by no means would I question your concern, but after having spent a week there last month our fears were completely unfounded. As always there is the chance for some random idiot doing something to give the other 99% a bad name, but I hope that you have a similar experience as ours. Also, while the security guards seemed to be quite casual about their job there are in reality quite diligent about it. Hope that puts your concerns at ease.

Sometimes a couple will be takin pics alone on the nude beach. Also on boat to Rick's but always a couple asking someone to take one of themselves. Been 4 times

Yup, we did a fun little photo session on the beach rocks by the clothing optional side. Couple of keepers for sure!

Hedo security is not obvious, but they are always there, and are good at their job. And one of their jobs is to prevent cameras from being on the nude side. It is not possible to be 100% sure you will not have your picture taken at the nude pool/beach/bar/hot tub. If somebody really wants to take pictures, there will be a way that is not easily detectable. At Hedo or at any other location that we might visit. Cameras are so small now they can be hidden in almost anything if someone chooses. But in general, you won't see any cameras on the nude side of the resort. Typically, those that are paying to stay there are very aware of the problems some might face from being 'outed'. While I wouldn't like to see a nude picture of myself on a web site, I really don't think it would cause any problems in my life. Although I could be wrong lol. I know others are not in the same situation.

We have done a photo shoot (flash umbrellas, reflectors, SLR) on the beach at sunset on the border of the nude side, and have done some with phone cameras around the centre of the resort (main pool, water slide, beach bar).

On our last trip, we saw a little red light between the curtains in one of the rooms overlooking the nude pool. We told the bartender and Serena was on the scene right quick with 2 security guards. They searches the room and looled through all of the memory cards the person had for his camera and formatted (erased them). They were escorted pff the property immediately and banned so Serena told us. I watched the whole thing go down and I am pretty satisfied that they take it pretty seriously. Do an online searched for hedo 2 smut and it is pretty slim pickins which is a good thing. If we saw a huge trove of videos onlone, we wouldn't go back. I believe this is why they take this seriously as guests would leave I think.

As for the dining room: on another trip, someone was taking pictures of someone that did not want their picture taken and, same thing, the staff went to the person and erased the pictures.

Generally, we treat the dining room as a 'public' space and goverb ourselves accordingly.

We would never take a picture of anyone without their permission. Basic courtesy and respect.

My wife and I have been going to Hedo for about 7 years now including the old Hedo 3. She always had the same fear (so did I) and I can say the only time I saw an idiot with a camera on the nude side was a few years ago. I don't recall if he actually took pics but this jerk was a single guy and actually came to the nude bar with a DSLR camera. Of course everyone flipped out and right away, not only did security take the camera, the guests were almost ready to kick his ass (both guys and gals). I guess he was probably drunk no excuses. All in all, people are very respectful and if people take pics, it is normally at dinner but of themselves and not others. You should be more than ok. Trust me, if pics were a problem, my wife would no longer take me to my disneyland in Jamaica. Just come, take it all off, and enjoy the party.

Wait, was that you I took those wedding pictures of. Late April, it was raining hard ?

This April our group picture at the nude bar was taken by Hedo management, to make sure we didn't break any rules, and no unwant people entered the photo
A renewal of vows at the point was watch very closely by management and if any photographer even thought of pointing the camera pool side, mangement was on them. Ocean view pictures only.
You have more to fear from the Sandles boats, than on site people.

However, as was said, camera's are very small these days, and you can never be 100% sure.

We just got back and twice I saw the EC stop the entertainment and get cameras dealt with. They have been known to take a camera and keep it until you leave. They are VERY strict on this is you are taking pictures of people without permission.
