Does anyone know if the wave runners / jet skis are allowed to operate again? It's been quite a while since we have seen any wave runner activity on the water.

Rentals are still banned (private use is okay) and we heard that there is no intention to change that.

Down the beach all jet ski's are slowly rotting away down back alleys, we saw quite a few while exploring. Still banned, and last trip didn;t see any buzzing around, so not sure if anyone has a "private" jet ski!

Jamaica lifted the ban a few months ago but the areas of Negril and MoBay have kept it in place. What I have read on a Negril forum is that they are never coming back to that area.
