Jewel Paradise Cove

Hello,
We are new to the forums! I am 35 (wife) and my hubby is 37. We are going to jamaica for the first time in May! It will be our 10 year anniversary, and our honeymoon as well! My hubby picked jamaica cause well i dont know why! I do know he wanted to book at hedo or another clothing optional resort! I opted out and chose Jewel Paradise Cove. My hubby likes to walk around nude, he would love to share me, i just dont know if i am ready for the lifestyle yet!

With all that said I have thought more about the lifestyle. I know we all ready booked Jewel Paradise Cove, but can anyone tell me what the resort is like? Is there anyplace nearby hubby and I could maybe check out the lifestyle? Anyone have pictures of the resort or nearby area?

What should i expect from this lifestyle my hubby wants to try!

You're in the right place. Jewel Paradise Cove is in Runaway Bay, Hedo is in Negril. Not sure what resort you are asking about. I'm pretty sure while not Hedo, Jewel Paradise Cove looks awesome, I think it was a Sandals once. Runaway Bay is nice. I bet it will be fun, but I think it will be a couples type vaca, you and the husband, if you chat with four couples all week it will be surprising. Nothing wrong with that, lots of honeymoons and anniversaries.

Hedo is a 24/7 party with the friendliest people you'd ever meet, all nekkid (mostly). Very social and you can just go there for vacation and figure out the lifestyle thing without pressure or anything creepy at your own speed, then when you return, and most likely you will, you'll know everything you need to move forward or not. Or if you're fast learners a lot can happen in a week.

Jewel Paradise Cove is the old Hedonism 3. It's adult only now as far as I understand, a lot if room improvements, and changes...but the basic layout remains the same. Look for the tiles by the room door with the "cartoonish" woman with the boobs...think they still remain. You will have to live vicariously through memories the walls and rooms
holds as it's rather secluded...nothing within walking distance.

As mentioned, Jewel Paradise cove is the old Hedo III and an adult only resort but there is no nudity at the resort.

So what you guys are saying is I should have let my hubby book Hedo! So now we are on the wrong side of the island! Does hedo have day passes? That would really surprise my hubby if i got usbday passes!

Unfortunately Jewel is about and hour and a half to two hour from Montego Bay...the opposite direction from Hedo 2. A taxi ride would run approx $150 each way and take about 3-4 hours to get from one to the other, and then you have to get back at the end of the day. The logistics of a day pass would take you too long to travel to be worth it in my opinion. Yes Hedo would have been the smart booking Option. We do have friends who have been to Jewel and they had a great time.

Well, I guess next time I will listen to my husband! Like I said i was not really receptive to the idea when he brought it up! I honestly didnt ask any questions. I just figgured it was like a clothing optional resort my girlfriend stayed at when she went to mexico. She told me that once u pass the signs u better have your clothes off, or security escorts you off! My hubby would not care he would just bare and share, i am alot more conservative than he is.

I am not really sure about the swinging, or what ever you call it when your husband wants you to sleep with other men whom are better equiped than him. I dont know what term you would use for that situation! Hubby introduced some new toys to the bedroom a month ago and wow! About two weeks ago he started throwing out the idea of wouldnt it be nice if this was not a toy and it was the real thing! Well after thinking about that, i think he maybe right!

Honestly it kinda stinks now that i think about it! It took us 10 years to save up for this vacation! I hope it does not take another 10 years to save again!

So is there any clubs or bars or places near by we could go out to in the evening that may include some of the activities of the lifestyle?

What resorts should we look for when we book our next vacation? What are the highest recommended adult resorts? Do they have cruises for adults?

We were looking into Barbados, or Mexico for our next vacation! Hubby even mentioned going on a cruise as they seem to be cheaper!

Does anyone have pictures of these resorts, nightlife, tours, sunset cruise, booze cruise and stuff like that?

What should we expect when we arrive at the airport? How long does it take to get through customs and immigration?

Sorry for so many questions, we have never left the USA. I have never thought about this lifestyle my hubby is pushing me towards!

You do need to be nude on the nude side. But there is a clothing optional side where you could get comfortable. Just not as much party going on there on that side. The lifestyle is prevalent, but not all who go are part. I have gone many times without any secular interactions. I go for the social atmosphere and to be naked!

There are no other places or clubs. Jamaica is really not like that... I'm sure you could find them at home!

Read some trip reports here and consider rebooking. I don't know if jewel is renovated in the last year, but my friend went ~two years ago and left after one night.
I wouldhate to see your long awaited vacation not turn out well

And, it really sounds like Hedo would be a good time for you both.

You might be able to switch for a couple of hundred if you're still a long way off till your travel date. You might want to call a good travel agent like Tom's Trips, Castaways, and see if they can help. If you could get Hedo for a couple hundred less than JPC it would be a wash. Just a thought.

I will have the hubby look into that i do not know who he booked through! It was 2k or under i think. May 24th to May 30th.

Contact the travel agent that you booked JPC with and see if you can change the resort to somewhere in Negril if not Hedo.

Ok hubby looked into it! We will have to pass this time around as it will be $1000 to change to hedo from jewel paradise cove. More than we wanna spend!
