new to the site have a question or 2

Me and my wife are thinking about a trip to hedonism probably next may.ive been looking all over the internet at reviews for clothing optional or au natural resorts that are for adults only.we have pretty much narrowed it down to hedonism.ive read some reviews that say that hedonism needs some upgrades that the place still looks like its the 70's others said its in the process of being upgraded.ive looked around the website and ive seen some pictures of upgrade.my question is can anyone give me some kind of an idea of upgrades that have been done and if its worth the money to get a premium room over the standard room?and also what is everyones basic impression of the resort in all.thank you all for taking th time to read and respond

Hi jwelch, my husband and I are going for our 7th time this April. We have not been since 2012. Our 1st time was 1983. Not a lot had changed in between

However it didn't matter. The place and the atmosphere is just so unique. There had been some changes and I hear the changes since our last trip have been really nice. We haven't done a premium room but we did Jacuzzi room once. We aren't concerned with upgraded rooms so much because we don't spend that much time in it

If it's your first time and you can afford it and the room atmosphere is important to you, go for it. I can't wait to go back. I wish we could go every year

Resort wise, the bathrooms at the nude pool, and the piano bar/ courtyard, have been upgraded to current standards. Courtyard redone in Astro turf. Food greatly improved. Piano bar overhauled. New premium coffee bar and premium wine bars installed. Non premium rooms are basic 70's style, new paint, with showers that have questionable water control and temperature. Only up grades to these rooms are flat screen TV's and new mattresses. Same old 40 year mirrors on the ceiling.
Premium rooms have been totally redone to modern standards with all glass bathrooms and balconies, duel sinks and new showers. All rooms have safes and mini fridges. Premium rooms have stocked mini fridges.
Reports indicate the new management has spend over 5 million on the resort so far, with more to cum.

This april will be our 7th trip our first was 2012, we are only back 3 weeks from there then we have april and oct and next jan booked.... don't know if that tells you anything but we love it.... heres my question to you.... if you have done all the looking around at nude adult only resorts and you have narrowed it down to Hedo something got you to that point.... just go and enjoy yourselves.... as for the premium rooms... we have had them 3 times but you don't spend enough time in the room, the plus to the rooms are,,, your close to the nude pool/hottub. the downside are not so close to the dinning room/ piano bar area and at night the ladies feet are usually hurting from the heels... so we have been booking the reg C/O room so we are closer to the night time fun...

The redo in the standard rooms make it look fresh, but the drawers in some of the rooms stick and some of the bathroom doors stick too. At least this was the case in our last 2 rooms. We didn't spend too much time in our room to care. The premium rooms are very nice for the money, but yes a little further walk to main dining. It is nice to be close to pool/hot tub. My tip for ladies wearing heels and have to walk the hills... Bring a change of shoes for walking the hills to dinner and then put your heels on.

Hedo is about the people and friends you make there! It's a lot of fun to party without clothes on!

You don't really spend much time in your room. You use it to sleep and to change for diner basically. So it depends on how much you want to spend. The new premium rooms are really nice, but the other rooms are all fixed up, so do whatever your gut tells you

The rooms are for sleeping, and all the mattresses are new. All the fun of being at Hedo is OUTSIDE of the room.....

Is the resort worth the cost? Hell yeah!!!!!!!!!

There's rooms at hedo?? All jokes aside we found the updated original rooms are perfect. The premium rooms are nice but we have never had any major issues with the old rooms.

This is going to sound bad but im kind of a room snob.i just like having a nice room even if we dont spend a lot of time in it.if we have had a long wild night or if its raining we just want to be as comfortable as possible.we have been watching videos for the past 2 hours on youtube and from what we can tell its a party all the time.i think we will have a good time as long as we can get over being naked!gotta admit we both are nervous about it.

The renovated rooms are nice ..we stick to the refurbished painted nude jacuzzi rooms just because if we go back to the room we usually hit our hot tub. The room really becomes this is funny..."A dressing room" during the stay that you sleep in. The resort has like most already have said undergone a lot of upgrades. At Hedo...its all about the folks. The resort and amenities becomes overlooked in our minds. We went last year first time...Were Hooked! Also...if she has small feet like the wifey then those 6" heels could pose quite the problem on the terrain to & from the Main Pool,Dining,Piano bar for example. The wife sticks to a smaller heal for this reason really..Disco isnt much of an elevation change as these areas. It depend non where you like to end up at the end of the evenings. The wife & I usually start at the dining area for dinner..hit the piano bar...work our way downhill to the disco...then tread over to the nude pool afterwards for the midnight pizza and Bam! Were close to our room. Jacuzzi nude suite. That's where we have fun. If your night pertains to spending your evenings up on the hill all night then you may want to book on the prude garden view for the short walk to bed. We have a short walk to bed because we hit the nude pool late before nigh! Night!. So each is own! That being said...the resort in our opinion could be walked from (For example) nude pool to the main dining area in about 10 min. Its not a long walk really. Besides you are on island time. Yeah Mon!!!!! Can I get a YEAH MON!!!!!!!

Unpack...strip down and grab a drink at the nude pool instantly. Everyone act like nobody is naked really. Its not bad at all.
