Does hedo security allow Sandals people to walk in morning or night on hedo beach?

We were wondering if people staying at Sandals are allowed to go past security on beach and walk onto Hedo property?

Beach is not hedo property, so yes, people from sandals are allowed to walk the beach.

They may be able to walk on the sand but they can't go onto Hedo property to get to the sand. It would be tough getting to the beach as there is a rock wall that separates Hedo's Beach from Sandal's beach plus a fence. They would have to walk out into the water around the rocks and fence to get to Hedo's beach. Going through the gate you have to go past security and from what I've seen there are only Hedo people passing through the gate.

I thought Hedo was grandfathered that it is not a public beach. I've seen vendors walk the water line with security walking behind them. We are aware of sandals people being turned away because they didn't have a pass and must come through the front desk. Otherwise we would have tons of gawkers walking the beach and we don't see that. I could be totally wrong with the "rule"...but we just don't see people walking the beach to have a look....going the other way from Hedo towards Negril is a public beach, and we've stayed down there at vanilla resorts, and they don't let non-guests, or vendors past the high tide line onto the "hotel" property.

Howdy,
During our last visit here were a few people strolling the Hedo beach. They obviously did not know what they were getting themselves into.
Remember mama pulling daddy by the hand as hard as she could, while daddy seemed to have a sudden case of lead-legs.

What I've read on here before... walkers have to pass security and security on the other side looks for them.

Otherwise, why the hell would they let those annoying vendors on property?

stayed at sandals last nye (ugh) tried to walk over and visit, security would not let us come thru the gate, advised them i wanted day pass and they escorted me to the front desk. they seemed pretty tight on not letting people pass thru gate at that time.

How far a walk is it. We're at Sandals NYE and have the day/night pass booked already. Just want to know how far we need to stumble for the 5am walk of shame home.

It's about a 10-15 walk from the main dining area

For the record, in Jamaica, and mostly the rest of the world, the beach up to the hight tide mark, is available to the public.
That said, last April I saw a young lady with a very young child, in tow, walk from the nude beach (point Village) towards Sandles. The poor child was mostly dragged very quickly, past the nude beach.

Security may question you, but I don't think they can stop you.

No, you can't go past security onto Hedo property but you can go past security and along the beach. The beach is all public property. I am surprised that someone said here that security would not let them pass. It happens all the time that people stroll the beach there, especially people staying at Point Village when they walk into Negril. If you were to ask at security to see the Hedo property they wouldn't let you pass but if you just planned to walk the beach it would be okay.

We've seen where a small group (looking a little rowdy) will show up at security and they are not turned away, but security will escort them the whole way along the beach.

If you want either a day or night pass you have to enter from the front desk. I doubt that security would let you enter from the beach for that.

Leaving at 5 am should be easy, I'm sure they will open the gates to the cage that holds you so you can get out. In other words you should be able to leave by the beach gate when you want to leave which will make it a 2 minute stumble.

Yes, the beach is public and the public does occasionally walk or jog through. Especially early in the morning. I saw a couple of ladies argue with the security person who didn't want them to come in. The older lady was adamant that the beach was public and they had jogged all the way from the circle and to complete the entire beach they had to jog across to the beach grill. Finally with a shake of the head they were allowed in and jogged to the end of the beach with Security in tow. They touched the rocks and turned and walked back to the gate.

I'm completely sure that they had no interest in the nude aspects of the beach (it was around 8 am), but of course they had to jog past my disaffected nekkid ass once coming and once going. I greeted them cheerfully and they just kept going without a response.

I thought they locked the gate at night on the beach? If someone talks with the guard at night they will let them walk the beach after they lock the gate? I liked the idea of them locking us in at night to protect the boring Sandels, vanilla,book reading,sex only at night with the lights off guest. But really don't they lock that gate on the beach at night?

A night pass won't allow you to stay until 5am. It expires at 1am and security will ask you to leave at that time. You may think that they won't be able to find you but security knows where everyone with a day or night pass is at all times. They track all pass guests very closely.

You've been there. You've seen security. Are you really concerned if they unlock the gate for people once checked?
