Question Is Xmas Week Dead at Hedo?

We are newbies as I posted on another thread and visiting for only 2 nights before heading next door to Sandals for 4 more. That said, we can always pop back with a day/night pass if we love it as much as we think we will. However, we're arriving Christmas day. Did we pick a dead week between Xmas and NY to holiday there?

    Thanks.

Xmas at Hedo is a great time to meet people, not overly busy with groups. the Fluffs have a small contingent of people and make sure you introduce yourself to Janet, Jon and Harry.

    Next trip Dec 15 - 21 2019

Christmas week can be a little low key , however... By the 27th things start happening and Nye's is always a sale out . The Bare Bottom Bunch starts arriving and that is when the fun will start . I hope we don't keep you awake at night !

Thanks for the replies. We'll be nearby on NYE and may just come in for the evening. We arrive on 12/25 so I guess a quiet day or 2 won't be bad. And yet...

I imagine that Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, and the day after Xmas would be rather quiet at Hedo. Probably good relaxing days to work on that suntan and do some pleasure reading, though.

Yeah, we are doing that the rest of the week at Sandals. We may have planned this a little wrong but will make the best of it. And we will try to come back for NYE.

We will be at Hedo this year for our 12th consecutive Xmas New Years Trip.
@happy2us, if you are going to be there.. make sure you send us a message first so we can all get to know each other before hand.

As to the question.. the period from about the 15th to the 23rd is one of the slowest times at the resort.
From the 24th until NYE occupancy fills until its totally booked for NYE... every year a rockin party.. we love to ring in the new year at the hottub and with good friends.

So it looks like if you are going to be arriving on XmasDay, you will be in a good place... perhaps you should try to book your stay until Jan 1st.

We will be there this year from the 24th to the 4th.. anyone else travelling then, say hello and take advantage of our free drink offer.. to be collected on resort

Sounds like the beginnings of a party. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship! (Casablanca?).

Thanks! I just sent you a private message but not sure if it went through. It our cell #, name etc... Do the same and we can text Christmas day when we get to Negril. We are booked at Hedo 12/25-27 then next door at Sandals 12/27-1/1 BUTT have a day/night pass already bought for NYE. Should be a reasonable mix of insanity and calm blended with a dose of yippy, yahoo and OMG's.

We sent you a PM too but don't see the sent message in the folder. Not sure if they're going through.

Sorry we missed your PM and a meeting at Hedo. We had a great week there and then spent the second week at the Riu Tropical Palace. It was a pretty quiet week in comparison. I sent you a PM reply but seem to be having trouble with it as well. Hope you had a good time at Hedo. We are looking at Booking Hedo for xmas/ NYE for two weeks this year, maybe we will get a chance to see you this time.

Christmas is slow, but we do have a lot of the group in early for a few days over Christmas. The majority arrive on the weekend after, starting on the 26th. The resort fills up quickly after Xmas, and is always sold out. Night passes are limited for NYE...so if you only there a couple of days and moving on, you'll want to purchase one in advance rather than showing up at random NYE and being disappointed with none available. The rooms for general booking tend to sell out for the week sometime in late October, early November...so early booking is best to get the room category you want. If you are leaving before New Years week and travelling Chritmas...this is a non-issue. Plenty of space over that time.

Hey, no worries on the miss. We'll answer your PM but for anyone who's curious, Christmas Day and the day after were the perfect intro to H2, not packed but plenty of great people and more fun than a barrel of naked monkeys (wait, that sounds weird)...it was fun. We may head back for NYE but we're talking about also going for 6-7 days before then.
