Hedo Virgins! Nervous but ready to book. How is January in Jamaica.

Hi guys,

We are a 31, 32 year old Aussie couple looking to visit Hedo in January. We will make a profile soon but it would be good to hear what the resort is like at that time of year. We look to be there from the 6 Jan for 3 - 4 nights. Fingers crossed there is still room.

Nervous but ready.

I'd book that now as the resort will be full. January is "lifestyle month", just be sure you know what you're getting into before booking a January visit.

It is lifestyle month but you can do you own thing just as you would if it is not. You should book a longer trip so that you will have a chance to recover from the flight. You also lose a day flying back since you have to go to the airport early. A lot of internationals will stay for two weeks to get the most of their travel time. I would recommend at least 5-7 days.

Well I hope we are quick enough then, our hearts are set on hedonism. Where or how should we go about making a booking? Directly with the resort or a travel group? Thanks for any pointers.

Find a group that is going in the time frame you have in mind. You'll get better prices. As well you can meet some of the group on line, so you'll have friends waiting for you when you get there. Some times groups (TA) will book a block of rooms, then sell them through their specific TA. If the resort is sold out, you can sometimes book a "blocked" room.
Travel agents that specialize in Hedo are, Tom's Trips, Go Classy Tours, Dennyp, to name just a few. This sites lists many more.
Specific groups favour specific travel agents, but generally you are not required us them.
