What has changed since 2011?

Harry has posted on FB that there are still plans for the resort to do foam parties (where the skating rink is) BUT that will be after the disco renovation which is down on the list a bit. He did state they might do one in the Disco here and there but gave no specific dates. He also stated that they are still considering changing the theme nights soon and he would like to see Toga return.

So S&S is correct, if you want a foam party you need to book with a group that is sponsoring one. WWV has plans to do them for most of their groups in 2015 including the Amigos in March. We also get one of the best Vegas DJ's (Sandman) to do a poolside night time Rave...which this year will be on St. Patty's Day and a hell of a lot of fun!!

We've been lucky and only had hot water issues (maybe) twice in a bunch of trips. A few other comments on changes since 2011...

I really like the new decor in the rooms - better sheets, nicer color scheme, most of the lights, clocks, etc... works.

Many of the old staff were let go. (Full disclosure.. this is a pet peeve.) Like 30% of them, including Jocelyn, Noel, Anthony, Michael, Charlie, Matta, Anna, Grace, Kendrick.... Quite a shame, since we always enjoyed seeing many of those folks who we came to like and respect over the years. I also wouldn't say at all that the staff is more content... less secure and are presenting a happy face is how I'd characterize it (for some at least). To be sure, some new folks like Eldon and Eaton are superb.

On the beach, there are many more loungers, mats and small tables. A bunch of large market umbrellas are placed around for added shade. And several wooden covered platforms have been added - 1 on the point and 1 by the massage shack.

No more water skiing. A 'new' dive boat was added - like a larger version of the snorkel boat. Not an improvment IMHO, but something new.... and we've heard that the old sexy dive boat is now back in service, with refurbished engines, which will be nice.

And I must say that Harry is great as a new owner. He really lends a nice vibe to the place - always seems like he's having a good time, chats with most everyone, and participates in tons of activities. Looks like a hands-on owner who's really enjoying his new job.

Thanks for the clarification on the foam parties. At least it appears to be something that's in the not too distant future plans, along with a lot of other good stuff!

we are just back home... there was a foam party in the disco while we was there.... they had a big blow up swimming pool in there and the foam was flowing....
