Where should we get married?

Hi everyone!

Long time no see

So, flip and uni want to get married at a fun place! Where would you recommend?

We would like a beach location, a legally binding ceremony, no fuss, and not cost the earth. We also want to party in a pretty place with fun people and things to do.

We are looking at Hedo II and Desire RM. Last time at Hedo II wasn't great (compared to III), but we have never been to Mexico either so have no clue what it's like.

Any advice or tips gratefully received - thank you.

For a wedding I'd suggest Hedo2. Marriage is legal...Hotel sets everything up for free (minor costs for minister gratuity and any extras you want). The only stipulation is you have to be on the island 3 days before ceremony.
Mexico to be legal has much stricter regulations and generally a pain in the butt. Foremost you both need blood tests in mexico. Resort will do wedding, but people we know said it was not legal and still needed a city hall wedding back home.

We vote for Hedo as well. There are lots of beautiful spots there. When are you thinking of going?

<--- Has done many vow renewals as an ordained minister, for people in our group. And found out I can do a wedding at hedo, just have to have the Jamaican minister for the actual vows, but I can do the rest of the ceremony.
I would say Hedo, the renewals I have done were really nice, some on the beach with a sand mixing ceremony, so you can take the actual sand from the beach you got married on.

Hedo is winning at the moment, it looks too much hassle to get married Mexico. We would travel to Jamaica with Wild Women/First Travel as we always do!

We got married in Jamaica. Was just us 2.
Spent the first week at CocoLaPalm in the middle of 7 mile Beach! They took care of everything. Minister, witnesses, photographer (EXCELLENT), Dinner on the beach, etc.
Then we spent the next week at Hedo!!! Awesome Fun!! Then had a huge reception for all of our family & Friends when we got back!

Jamaica is easy, as it's British Rule.
Mexico, Vows have to be translated to Spanish, blood tests, etc. And then may not be legal in your jurisdiction.

GoodTimesCandC - Cheers for the advice, I looked up CocoLaPalm and it looks great It will be just the two of us as well.

We are thinking that we will go and party at Hedo II for a week then go somewhere like CocoLaPalm or Couples Negril to get married for the next week.
