We're headed for a week of relaxation and wondering if there is any notoriety to be said of the area and, more specifically, the resort.
Fun will be what we make of it, we know that, but we had such fun in Mexico at Temptation and would love to find even a hint of that kind of energy in the evenings (the disco can be so much more fun when the music is loud, the crowds are drinking and dancing and the mood is carefree and slightly naughty).

I went to Santa Maria Cuba.and there was a C/O beach there, I enjoyed 2 bottles of wine on the beach with my hubby it was great but, no excitement. Still had a great time naked on the beach
Been to Cuba many times. In Varadero there are two clubs. Club Mambo, which is a little east of the Blau resort (the one that looks like a pyamid) and in front of the Hotel Aguas Azules, just off the main drag. It was really hopping when we were there. There was a cover charge, but it included several free drinks. Good thing we were staying at the Blau, because it was tough walking a striaght line back to our room.
The other club in Varadero is more in town, called the Havana Club, never made it to that one, so no details available.
We stayed in Cayo Sanata Maria and spent several days on the CO beach. Beautiful beach, no crowds, warm water and CO. But it's not Hedo. Best you can do is sunbath. While topless is OK on any beach, and nude is accepted (reluctantly) on special beaches, sex is not allowed in public, anywhere.

When are you traveling? We might be able to join you. Discos at hotels are not very lively. As said here, discos outside hotels are better. Having fun will be up to you, as no sexy crowds will gather spontaneously...

Try Cayo Largo nude beaches at most hotels and miles of deserted beaches you can be nude
If you're looking for beautiful beaches, we strongly suggest Cayo Santa Maria instead of Jibacoa...
Jibacoa is now off the list and Cayo Coco is on. Thinking of one of the Melis resorts. Problem with Santa Maria, is the wife hates the 90 minute bus ride from the airport, but yeah the beaches are really nice. We did use the nude beach last time we were there.
But as nude as they are, it ain't no Hedo.
