    Sept. 22-29, 2014

    Hi all,

New to the site and planning our first visit to Hedo this September. Found out there is a burlesque festival going on while we're going to be there. Sounds like fun.

Just wondering who else may be at the resort during this week. We've read it's a time of low occupancy (which may be good or bad).

And sorry if this is in another thread already, but we've noticed some conflicting information with regard to the theme nights. Does anyone know what themes are each night now?

Any and all replies (and tips/advice for first time visitors) are most welcome.

    Thanks

If you are still in the planning stage, please be aware this is the quietest week of the year.... the last 2 years we have been onsite during this week and if you are to think 25% occupancy,,, that would be optimistic. Having said that we still had a great time.

Thanks. We read the 25% occupancy figure for that week in another place, but we also read all guests were upgraded to the nude side (if they wanted it) so the resort could keep folks in the same area.

We are fine with that situation for our first trip. Less people, but likely easier to get to know the few who are there (and I suspect getting a beach chair, dinner reservation, drink, or a spot in the hot tub won't be much of an issue).

We also noticed the Hedo site lists certain theme nights, but the burlesque site says the Hedo theme nights are different. For instance for Saturday the Hedo site says Maskparade while the burlesque site says futuristic. Normally I'd just assume the Hedo site was right, but in another forum or post we read the Hedo site needs to update their theme nights.

Does anyone know what the theme nights are? One says Thursday is toga, one says Thursday is black and white.

Being from a rural area we need to order costumes online and return and reorder if the wrong size so we're trying to find out which themes are correct. Any help on this would also be appreciated.

We know this is a slow week, but we can't be the only people going September 22-29. Although that would also be interesting.

we go to hedo in jan. 3rd week.... we have been there at that time for 3 years... resort was at 100%.... lots of fun.... we went this past may and the resort was only at 37%.... while it was still fun, we found that the resort was very dead. 2 days there there was 12 of us in the pool all day... not sure we would want to do that again. we met a few great ppl that we got going with us again for the 3rd week of jan. we talked with the owner there and we ask about sept and he said its the slowest time of the year.... i'm sure you will have a blast there but only 25% thats low. we look forward to your trip report when you gets back on the rock.

    Thanks foxxyandhound,

We probably should have researched this better before booking, but those dates work really well for us this year (I was looking for the earliest date I could comfortably get away from work... Really need a vacation, completely out of the country... Even going to "forget" the Blackberry at home).

It's likely our next trip (and we're fairly confident already there will be a next trip) we'll book with a group or at least during a week that has higher occupancy.

For now, we're looking forward to Burlesque Week.

You get in a day before us... Save us some booze! Looking forward to meeting you (and with an expected with 25 percent occupancy, we're quite sure we'll have an opportunity to meet). See you in September.
