Alright, we made the reservation for our virgin trip. Oh my God, what did we do?

After months and months of reading the forums and waiting for Hedonism to offer up group rates for our week (3/21-3/28 in 2015) we finally made our reservation. Now the countdown officially begins with all the moments of nervous excitement when we are both thinking holy crap what did we do and also holy crap we can't wait to get there and experience it. I think one of the best things about going to hedonism is how much it gets in your head before you go. If we decided to go on a "normal" vacation there is no way we would be this excited. So much will get sorted out over the upcoming months like establishing ground rules, buying hedo outfits for her, putting the packing list together etc, etc, etc but this will be the first vacation we have taken in 16 years and we cannot wait. Hopefully we will get to know some others on here who are also going that week. If not we will keep soaking in the experiences of the veterans here in order to get the most out of our vacation.

My prude wife was very nervous but agreed to go as it was my long-time passion. Even she enjoyed it. Everyone we met was nice. She's not a swinger nor wanted to experiment, and she never felt like she was pressured by anyone to do anything. When we arrived we went to the room, indressed, and immediately went to the nude pool. Within minutes she as comfortable and talking with everyone. Dressing sexy for meals was easier than she expected because no-one is judgemental and there is always someone wearing less than you. Even late night sex in the hot tub (while others are doing the same) came easy. So relax, you will be amazed at how easy and comfortable everything is within minutes of arriving.

im expecting the immersion into the hedonism world to go as smooth and as enjoyable as yours was mrcaj. Only thing i need to do is figure out how to speed up the time until we can go lol. gonna be great week, I am sure.

We went last Feb. - booked almost a year in advance and counted down the days. We booked again for next Feb (2015) and we are counting down the days again (216 days as of this posting!). Yes, it will be fun. Relax and enjoy.

Oh you gotta love that first pre trip feeling. We had the same jitters excitment and worries. We had joined a group of pranksters that stoked our nervousness feelings (all in good fun), up to the last week, then conceded they were just pulling our chain. But they were the most helpful and freindly people when it came to Hedo time. First trip we ended up in H block, right by the overhead walkway, upstairs. I opened the curtains looking toward the nude pool, and saw two naked people, for a moment I forgot where I was, and said to my wife, "There are naked people out there", as I turned around all I saw was her naked butt heading for the door. Best vacation ever. Every trip since has been fun (well we keep coming back) but the pre trip has never been like the first time.
It took us three years to get up the nerve to go to Hedo, and we had not even been to this or the other web site before going.
Next trip for us is 4/11/2015.

Same for us, we2are. For years, we talked about it but thought it was just too far out there for us to go (well, she thought that, no me) and a few years it was like, "screw it, let's just cut loose and have a crazy vacation that may end up being a yearly adventure." And well done on going without a forum like this to tap into. Talk about just making the leap. that's great. However, no we are not with a group. We tried to make it with the Hedo Amigos as they were very close to the date range we wanted to go (one week before us) but we just couldn't move to that week. The only other group going the week we are going is the Young Swingers Week, which was not a group my wife to go with on the virgin trip. We are not quite young (mid 40s) and we not quite swingers haha. Just a couple that wants to enjoy some new experiences and have fun.

I know I responded to weare2 about groups in general but no we didn't book with YSW. For the first trip my wife didn't want to go with a group that is outwardly a swinger group. From an interest perspective she would be more likely to align with a group like in your signature, the Hedo Switch Hitters, but we are really limited to the week of 3/21-3/28 so it is what it is. Im not too worried about it. As long as i find some fellow day drinkers I am all good. And from what I've read on this forum i shouldn't have a problem at all.
