Any advice whether or not any benefit to 2nd floor of the GV rooms? Since there is no view, I was thinking on requesting a ground floor but then i was reading it's easier for break ins or ppl thinking they are at their room, and are not in the right spot ..hahaha...too much rum punch. Any ideas on the best building choice for noise and location?

25 days!!! 13 great nights coming up. First time at Hedo. Unsure what to expect on all fronts...

Go, relax.... We will be garden view prude (regular) also, and tbh, we prefer the ground floor because those stairs can be a bitch at 2am after too much rum punch... We have never had a break in after 5 trips (#6 coming up) but we always put anything valuable in the safe. Honestly, we don't usually bring anything all that valuable with us. cameras and cell phones mostly. Mrs. brings her blackberry because her job pays for the international, the regular phones get shut off. Any kind of jewelry we bring is usually of the costume variety, or the kind that mrs. wears in her clit piercing. We do usually prefer a room a little ways away from the disco, but honestly, we've dealt with that just fine too. We're looking forward to meeting you. Who knows, maybe we'll be neighbors for a few days.

Never had an issue with break ins on first floor or noise issues with GV rooms. No preference really, just go with whatever room they give us. Usually so excited to be there that room placement is not a concern

Relax and enjoy!!! Each trip is a new adventure

Its a great feeling when checking in they say your in such and such room. What you really don't want to hear is "we will have to give you a room across the street" now that sucks...

2nd floor rooms tend to be less humid. We stayed at one resort where, with the AC, condensation ran across the ceiling dripping on the bed and down the walls. Being on the 2nd floor made all the difference. However in our experience, this has never been an issue at H2.

Any room at Hedo is an awesome room!! I don't think you have to worry much about a room getting broken into, I don't think it happens often. But just keep your doors locked

We have been ground floor garden view regular for 2 of our 3 trips so far and it's never been a problem. We have never actually gotten a second floor room yet. I think you'll be fine wherever you are, as long as you're at Hedo!

If you have any allergies or asthma like symptoms an upstairs room is the better choice.And all you gotta do is shake your door to make sure it locked,keep valuables in the safe,and don't take any thing of extreme value with you.I think the airlines are the culprit for my lost snapshot camera though.Won't make that mistake again.

It's even wore when they put you down the road at Riu. Been there done that. At least Lido is walking (stumbling?) distance.

Thanks for the input. I did speak to Patrina in reservations....don't know if any of you have had any dealings with her but she seems really nice. We asked for ground floor and building 1146..if possible. We might just luck out on getting a room at Hedo right away because our plane lands at 9:30 AM !!!! Should be at the resort by 11:00 am so hoping to at least will get a room there and not be bumped. She said we could check if there's an upgrade when we check in....

Are there any creepy crawlers to worry about on ground level? Depending on the size of the space between the door and the ground, I know there are some BIG BEETLE type of insects in Jamaica and got freaked out one early morning at an S resort in Runaway Bay when it was still a bit dark in the room...got up to use the bathroom and just saw this big shadow on the floor...then it moved...I screamed like hell and took my husband's shoe and whacked it and went back to bed, I couldn't look.......he didn't even wake up (rum punch) but in the morning he was wondering why his shoe was in the middle of the hallway. I stayed far away while he checked to see if I killed the animal! That's what I hate about ground floor rooms. I just thought of this now.......HMMM...maybe I should request 2nd floor!?!?!? Or drink more! lol!

I do have allergies, wondering why the 2nd floor is better for that??

Looking forward to meeting all of you who will be there July 6 - 19!! 26 Days!

There happened to be 2 break ins on the ground floor the week before your group showed up. Both rooms were OVN one room was occupied at the time and sleeping. Other room people were still out parting and lost quite I bit of stuff. Cop can confirm this as it was a member of his group.

True unless your rather drunk decide once you get back to the room to take a shower. I did not notice the 1/2" step up tripped dislocated my index finger at the second joint. Was really hard holding my bubba mug after that...I went to shots for a cure!!
