Oh how I love that sound. It is usually mid May here before I hear them, that is why I love going to Hedo in late April - I bring the sound back with me But is frogs we hear, but some think it is crickets

I heard that too, I thought maybe they were frogs or toads....but they are the sounds of spring.

They are tree frogs at Hedo, but sound like our pond frogs here

Saw our first robins of the spring today. We still have 3 feet of snow on the ground. Going to buy bird seed tomorrow to help them out.

In any event...Good to hear it! Frogs, Crickets,Birds. The other day I watched an eagle circling voicing his opinion. What a beauty nature can be. Love living on the water.

I hear ya...any sound that gives us the hint spring is near works for me! I bet the Eagle spotting was awesome, you get a lot up that way? We don't get much wildlife in our area, mainly because out dog chases them off. LOL.

Feel your pain...snow finally gone here. I used snow as ice for the cooler we have set up by our hot tub...almost froze solid at one point inside during the winter. We still have slush from it at this point still. Gotta keep cold ones on hand out there.

Last time we were there I recorded the sound of the tree frogs late at night on my iPhone. Now when we're missing Hedo we play it back and it's just like we're there (almost).

That is awesome! We use to see them a lot when we lived in Kodiak, AK and loved it! We don't get to see them much anymore though, at least not where we live now.
