When do you pack?

12 days out and the wife is already packed. I usually pack the night before. When does everyone else pack?

I had costumes for all 5 nights I was there ranging from simple to elaborate so I made sure I purchased/planned what I was going to pack starting a couple of months before. Final assembly took place in the 24 hours before leaving. Next time, I'd like to be fully packed 1 week before going. I'd also like to be nice and rested just so that I can totally have a BLAST at Hedo.

P.S. I'm learning that planning, being organized (not that I am all the time!) and getting things done ahead of time doesn't mean you *aren't* spontaneous; rather it puts you at an advantage to be spontaneous when opportunities arise!

We leave April 10th and I have most of my costumes and group stuff staged, will be packed at the minimum a week out.
Wife is still packing the night before.

Cop I have to ask where do you get your costume ideas? From what I have seen it's got to be hard topping prior trips costumes.

I start to "pre-pack" 90 days out (I'm at 100 days today) and I put certain Hedo-only items in a box so that I do not have any mad, last minute scrambles.

And after 9 previous trips to Hedo, I have a routine and inventory nailed down for my costumes, gifts, etc so that I really don't have to officially pack until about a week before.

He packs the day/night before, but we are 18 days out and I took my suitcase out yesterday and started to put things in as I saw them. I will go through it a couple times over the next couple weeks to pick and choose and find things that are missing.

17 days till we leave and I haven't done a damn thing other than bring my tote upstairs. Plan on packing this weekend.

I'm behind... we are 12 days out and I meant to have started a couple days ago... hope to remedy this tonight! I have my packing list done and all my theme night clothing together in one place, just need to start putting things into the carry-on and suitcase. Gonna attempt to pack tonight and then see what I can do to lighten the load throughout the week.

The hardest part for me is deciding what to put in the carry-on vs what to put in the checked suitcase. Obviously all of my toiletries will go into the checked luggage, but other than that I'm usually at a loss on the best way to do it. Anyone have some tips for that?

we are 59 days out and I am packed... my wife is not... but she always says but i have last min things that you guys don't.... so she will be still packing as we will be walking out the door...lol

I always pack things I know I truly need in my carry-on. Toothbrush, a couple pairs of clothes a pair of shoes, meds, things you really need. That way just in case your luggage gets lost you are covered. My costumes, toys ( although I do need those

) bubba keg and stuff of that nature re always in my checked. Pack what you know you absolutely need in your carry-on and all else in checked just in case.

I have a "Hedo list" that I update thruout the year and a Hedo drawer in my dresser. I wait till the night before leaving and throw it all in a suit case and run to the airport in the morning......less stress that way...... Dick Singlecruiser
