    Should we go?

    Hi there,

We are a long-time naturist couple. We're not into lifestyle, but we're not offended by it. Different strokes and all that. If other folks are having fun out in the open, that's no big deal.

Basically, we're looking for a place where we can be naked as much as possible, chat with nice people, sun, swim, snorkel, volleyball, have a few drinks at dinner, some great food, a few laughs, etc. We're pretty social people, tho maybe not big time partiers.

So a few things concern us, based on reading these forums. Grateful for any feedback here.

    (1) We understand that we can be nude on the prude side, which is now really CO rather than prude. We'd be happy to be nude the whole week, weather permitting. The prude accommodations sounds like they're a bit cheaper and a bit quieter, which is nice. Is our impression that the prude rooms are a bit quieter accurate?

    (2) If we decide to stay naked from our prude room to the beach (or wherever), is that a problem? Are there places where you have to put on clothes? If so, how much?

    (3) We are big volleyball fans. What we lack in talent, we make up in enthusiasm. Is there a lot of volleyball there? If so, is it beach? Grass? Pool?

    (4) I'm not entirely sure what the vibe of the place is like for naturists who aren't into lifestyle. Is there anyone out there like us? I guess I'm worried that this is the main reason people go to Hedo, and we'll be a bit bored / on the outside socially if we don't.

We much prefer "nude" to "CO" places. Enforced nudity is such a social equalizer! And it's fun!

    Thanks,

    2Nats

We are in the same boat as yourself, have yet to share

    1. Love the nude side, the nude side isn't loud so i wouldn't worry about that.
    2. You can be nude anywhere except anyplace with a roof and the prude grill for obvious reasons. The dining hall and the restaurants are really what is off base but otherwise. Let it hang.
    3. You will find all kinds of fun here. Believe it they have a tennis pro. My biggest sport is chasing millions around. Everyone is open for fun with no judgement just a good time.

    4. The word lifestyle is everything from a couple that only lets another lick his wife's tit to couples in a full blown orgy. We've been to hedo 3x and have yet to swap. We just love being with each other but our friends say we are far from vanilla. The fun part of hedo is no judegement. You do what you want and that is all. No pressure on you and no pressure on anyone else.

Book the trip and I promise you will have an awesome time.

We were in the same boat 3 yrs ago , an we have never been naked in public before. People talk about the lifestyle a lot on hear because that's what "there" into. But a lot are not. We asked an agent that specialized in selling Hedo vacations an they suggested a group to us that were more of a social group.. We told them we did not want to be pressured or feel out of place because we did not swing. At times there are groups there that do that an some that are not so into that or at least hide it better.
I wouldn't let the swinging thing get to you , because I really think it depends when you go how much you will see of that. I feel the time we go is great for beginners or for those dipping your toe in. As far as the volley ball thing goes well.....I think you will be having to much fun to be worrying about that. lol

In our experience, most swingers (90% or so) are very open minded, very diverse, and very accepting. I've never met any who would THINK to pressure anyone into swinging...because swinging is something you HAVE to be on board with beforehand, and communicate to your partner about. Will swingers come on to you? Sure. Flirt? Absolutely. Ask if you are into swinging? Certainly. Pressure you to "flip" from vanilla to swinger? None that I know ever have, so that's a no.

Please keep in mind the "asshole statistic:" there are jerks in every group, everywhere, all the time. Never let that small percentage define the rest.

As for Hedo, after reading tons of reviews, I think you'd have fun there. If you went the same time we go, we'd LOVE to play volleyball with you regardless of whether or not you are 'nillas!

Yes you can be nude on the c/o side, anywhere but the diningroom and lobby and gift shop and the grill. All you have to be covered in is a towel or cover up for the day time. I don't know what is quieter, but the time my head hits the pillow I am so tired I don't hear a thing, lol.

Volleyball - there is a volleyball net in the c/o main pool, get some friends together and head over (we throw a Wed afternoon pool party there and there is volleyball going on all afternoon) and there is also a daily game in the nude side co ordinated by the staff on the volleyball net on the nude beach. Or you can get people together and have a game anytime. Some have been known to bring their own volleyball (they will blow it up there for you) since the volleyballs can get kinda soggy from being left in the pool. And then they leave it behind.

We had several couple with our group last year who were not into the lifestyle and we all knew and respected that and they fit in great!!!!! Hedo is what YOU Make it!!! If you are social and fun to be around then you will do great, you don't have to be big partiers or in the lifestyle to have fun.

Our group goes the end of April every year, if you have any questions about Hedo - fire me off a message I love chatting Hedo!!!

No question you'll have a good time at Hedo and you're sure to hear from many people on this forum encouraging you to try hedo. We might also suggest Club Orient in St Martin and Cap d' Agde in France if you are really looking for a true naturist vacation. Club Orient is naked everywhere. You don't have to put on a stitch of clothing all week though some people do lightly dress for dinner. It's a long beautiful beach that is enjoyable to walk and there is a busier section of the beach at the other end with lots of restaurants, shops etc. The island itself is safe and easy to drive around. There is generally some sand volleyball going on.

Do a bit of web research on Cap d' Agde in France. It's truly an experience. It's essentially a small city where you can be naked everywhere. Long, fun-to-walk beach, 40000 naked people on a warm summer weekend. Lots of wonderful restaurants, shops, bars, cafes. Imagine going grocery shopping naked. A wide variety of accommodations from nice secluded couples-only hotels to condo time shares and camping. There is a lifestyle vibe to Cap d' Agde especially in the evening but it's easy to ignore if that's not your thing but it's fun to people watch. You see some great sexy and fetish outfits in the evening.

Both places will be more expensive than Hedo but these are some options to consider if you want a truly unique naturist vacation.

Been to Hedo 50 times and we don't swap/swing whatever you want to call it and still love it. We've made lifelong friendships there. I personally don't think the majority of guests at Hedo do swing however many that do are often very public about it. We are friends with them too. Do not worry that you will be hounded to swap although you may be asked. You will find that everyone will respect that and party on. You will not become an outcast.

You can travel to and from the prude rooms to the nude area without a cover up.

The nude pool at Hedo is not conducive to volley ball. Most volley ball is on the prude side in the sand. You will sometimes find an evening game of volleyball in the main pool by the dining room.

You will not be bored! Just say hi to strangers and you will not be strangers long. Tell them you are newbies. Hedo veterans love to help newbies find their way at Hedo.

Everyone has more than covered your questions, but I just wanted to clarify:
The "prude" accommodations ARE cheaper, but you're still free to socialize on the Nude side.
It's simply the location of the room.
So as long as you don't mind a little walk, enjoy the extra $ you saved!

Thanks for all the replies. We're long-time naturists, so being naked around strangers is no big deal. We were just a bit worried that if we were "vanilla" (I learned a new word today), that we'd have nothing to do and no one to talk to. Being chatted up is no problem.

We looked into N resort, and it sounds nice, but it also it sounds like not many people go there. Spending a nude vacation with only a handful of other guests sounds dull.

Also, amazed to see all the other Canadians here. If any of you Southern Ontario folks are naturists too, we've probably met you somewhere.

Pretty much all your questions have already been answered. Just wanted to say, we were in the same boat some years ago. Not to worry, you could spent your entire vaction there doing nothing, or doing everything. We always book "Prude Side" it's a ten minute walk to the "Nude" side, and up until last April, all the rooms were identical. They've upgraded some of the rooms now, and bumped up those prices.
Volley Ball is popular, but hit or miss, depends on who is on site.
I've posted on here a list of which groups are in the house at a given time. You might want to check out which groups have similar interests as you, or greater differances. Not that it would matter, but it would increase the number of people with a vibe close to yours. For example January is a heavy swingers month, and another week (can't remeber which) has a large percentage of I think, S&M people. Not that either group would have a problem with you.
We go the last half of April, with both the Butt Cracks and Biffs bunch. Neither is a swingers group, well that I know of anyway.
