Sticker Shock
Looking to go in November, we were there last November, despite a lot of rain we had a great time. Called to make reservations for 2014. our price went up $1000 for a week. We are members of Exotic so we get 30% off but the number was extremely high.
Looking for a group going around that time which may have a lower rate.
we found a group on the actual hedo site, Rachels Rascals, they are the the week before thanksgiving.They were fast on getting us a quote, and so was DennyP. In the end, our local travel agent was able to get us good rates, and we only had to put down a small deposit to hold both air and hotel room. Otherwise we would have booked with either the group or dennyp. they were about 700usd cheaper than what we found online. otherwise, i think lovevoodoo is there the week before us. they are always fun too!
I suspect that you were getting quoted on the new "premium" rooms.. have you looked at booking via the "standard" rooms... the prices are more comparable to historical.Originally Posted by flubadub

Personally, having seen the new rooms, and the refreshed (but old skool) rooms, I am good with the old skool rooms.

Flubadub, wait until May or so and they will be doing specials of 20% off and then you get your 30% on top of that. Should get you close to last years price. Check their website I haven't in a while and see if they are running anything now. Sometimes the coordinator at the exotic club plays stupid on the discount. If you don't tell them about it they won't give you the extra 20%
