September work ?

In one of the FB groups there is a discussion about rumors of remodeling and construction in the nude pool area starting in early September. As we are arriving September 6 2014 and seldom leave the nude pool area this concerns us. Anyone here have the scoop ?

Pretty sure Desire RM is doing work then. Ya might just want to ask the FB group you saw this on....rumors are just that though.

From what I have read on another forum and I think a statement from Desire management, this is true, but they are offering free cab/shuttle service to Pearl during the day. Pearl will not be under renovation, just Desire RM. Hope this helps.

We're aware of the work at Desire (they're offering a discount during the construction) but that doesn't mean that Hedo can't be doing work as well during what may be a low occupancy time.

We went last Aug when construction/demo was being done on the rooms closest to the nude pool. To be honest with you, if we had known what it would be like, we wound not have gone on those dates. The construction did not "ruin" the trip, but is certainly had a negative effect on things. One of the more entertaining things witnessed while we were there was one of the mid-afternoon pool games where each contestant was asked what they would do if they had $1,000,000. Every. Single. One. Of the answers related to paying the construction workers to go away.

It was bad.

Doing work around the low season is clearly the right thing to do as it will effect the least amount of people, but I wish I had known what was going to be happening while we were there so we could have changed the dates we attended.

A free day was granted for our next trip curtsey of the resort due to the issues encountered, but quite frankly, considering everything that went drastically wrong, the extra day does not even begin to cover it. Especially after talking to others that had less issues and finding out what they received as compensation because they did a better job at complaining.

I would NOT go to Hedo at a time the nude pool area was being worked on.

We received a prompt & courteous reply from Mr Levee with our query----no plans for major construction apart from general maintenance.
