Pondering our next trip to paradise. We've seen pictures of the new premium rooms but would like to hear from anyone with first hand experience. Are they worth the extra $$$. Seems to me the second floor balcony would be fab for voyeur...I mean people watching.
The new rooms looked nice when we visited recently -- if you really want a glass toilet and washroom, and smaller bedroom. Honestly we would not spend the extra money as we spend so little time in the room. As to 'people watching' we would feel a bit weird looking down on other guests from a balcony -- much nicer to be with them at ground/pool/ocean level. But each to his own.
We would prefer to spend a few extra days at Hedo than have two wash basins and a new ceiling mirror.

We usually pay for the least expensive room and hope for the best. If you have lots of money to spend, why not? Do what makes YOU happy...it's your vacation after all!

We booked the Nude Side/ Jacuzzi Room, figuring we'd be big for the first trip. If we like the place as much as we think we will, can scale back the next time. We also assumed (I know) that they are the one's that have already been totally upgraded.
We get there next Saturday l;ate afternoon and can't wait. We also just packed, and from what I have read, we have WAY too much clothing.
Looking forward to meeting lot's of folks and really appreciate the info on the board.
As it turns out, the room we have booked in not a premium room. But still a nude side/ jacuzzi.

We are just back in Canada after a nice 8 day trip to hedo. We had a premium room ocean front no hottub we think that the bathroom is a little over done... No need for two sinks in there and the shower is to big.... The toilet is hidden behind a wall so it's not to bad. We had a stocked fridge in our room... All the room got a fridge but the premium rooms are stocked every couple of days the other ones are not.... Over all the room get 85% rating from us. We are book for next jean now in the same room category .... Starting the count down now would kill us....lol.Originally Posted by tarjr

We agree. Ps. Thanks for the tour of the new room. We were happy with the moderate upgrades done to the old rooms. The new rooms however are nice. But what the hell is up with the mirror?? What were they thinking?

We looked at the display rooms last Sept. The above the bed mirror is nice, and has it's own light show. I thought the wall mirror was more a modern style piece of art, instead of a mirror that you can use to look at yourself, or someone else.
