    check-in/check-out policy

Just wondering what the hotels policy is regarding check-in/check-out times...

we are already going to be in Negril (spending first few days at another resort) when we check in,
so we could literally show up at the resort at 9am on our check-in day...
what is the procedure if the room is not ready, can we just dump our stuff at reception and start enjoying the facilities?

Also our flight back home does not leave mbj until 21.00 (9pm) so we don't really need to leave the resort until say 17.00 (5pm)
given that checkout is in the morning, what is their policy towards that last part of departure day?
I understand we will probably have to give up the room at checkout time
but where would one keep their bags/grab a shower/change etc before leaving in that case?

    thanks for your help

    Yes ...yes.. and Yes.

We always get there as early as possible. They take care of your luggage... go have a drink... eat... swim... whatever you lke.
    At check the same...

Early check-in isn't a problem. Leave your bags at the front desk and they'll probably have a room ready for you around lunch time. We usually take a back-pack with the things that we will need for the beach and we stick our valuables in it.

At check-out they will want you out of your room by 11am but you can leave your bags at the front desk. You can shower and clean up before leaving in the gym/spa. They have towels in there for you. They will want you to leave 4 hours before your flight time. You don't have to if you have your own transportation arranged and at that time of night 3 hours should probably be fine -- but it is Jamaica and you never know what can cause delays at the airport.

OK sounds perfect, I was worried they may say that after checkout you cannot keep using the 'all inclusive' or that they'd charge a day pass or something for using the facilities once checked out..
we do indeed have our own driver so that will be no probs...we'll spend every last second that we can on the beach

Really glad you asked that question because we'll be staying down on Negril Beach the day before and we are in almost the same situation. We'd like to get to the resort by 9 or 10 as well.

    Next ride to Hedo: Jan 29th - Feb 16th 2016. :

We always ask our travel company to get the request in for early arrival. It is sometimes just luck that a room is clean on the day we get in early. Have a dirty banana and hit the pool is the best advice we got on our first trip.

No worries. You can arrive as early as you like, fill out the paperwork, then use the facilities to your heart's content. Same for leaving - check out, leave your bags at the front desk, then hit the beach & bars until you need to leave.

    Check-in time 3:00 / Check-out time 11:00....

I have always arrived by 12 but have never seen a room available. Simply leave your luggage with the front desk and you can (as noted) grab a bite to eat and head to the pool for fun and refreshments. However, if you arrive at 9am I'm guessing the resort will seem a bit quiet.

I love the idea f showering in the gym before you leave if necessary. There are no time restrictions as long as you're a guest at the hotel.

    Thanks,

Yeah the spa/gym idea before departing is great, probably get a massage too before our not-so-comfortable 11 hour economy flight home...

no problem if the resort is quiet in the morning, in fact it'll give us a chance to explore and get our bearings

True re: the mornings being a bit more quiet. We often stay on the cliffs for a few days before Hedo. We taxi over ~8:30am, and do the check-in paperwork over breakfast. Nice to have a whole day there, rather than arriving in mid-late afternoon on our inbound travel day.
