Hi to all who have been to HBR. We are Hedo vets and usually dress up for every theme night. We are trying to puzzle out what "Private Pool Party" might mean? Do people wear fancy swimsuits or something?
This is our first trip to HBR - really looking forward to it!

We were there over Thanksgiving and theme nights were pretty calm. There were 42 full rooms so 84 people and half to 3/4 disappeared right after dinner. Several nights the entertainment was by the restaurant and not the palapa bar so ask during the day.
I did order some beads from Amazon for Marti Gras and we had a blast passing them out during the day... On Fri. the body painting / Neon night was a hoot! Take a couple of bucks and tip the guy, also recruit during the day as he is only there for an hour if no one shows he leaves. Also, trying to get the DJ to understand what you want played may be frustrating. That being said we will be back in May.
The Pool Party was rained out the week we went but I got the idea that most people are nude. I agree that participation in the theme nights was very poor to non-existent. A handful of people would show up in the palapa for drinks and maybe a little dancing each night but hardly anyone got dress up for it. There were far more people nude in the big hot tub than dressed up on the dance floor.
