Nude or Prude?

For us it was also that going to Hedo will most likely not be something that we'll be able to do every year, so we want to go all out!!!

Yey right .. I said that the first year. Going on #4 now. You can always find a way.

We booked on the prude side our first time, just in case we found the nude side a little too wild for us, and we were given a free upgrade to the nude side without asking when we checked in. There really isn't much difference between the two sides except being closer to the nude pool (which is really the best part of the resort). We are booked in a nude beachfront jacuzzi room for our next trip. It looked like the people there were having a good time so we figured we would give it a try.

We stayed in garden view nude last year for our first trip. We ended up walking the whole resort anyway, so we booked the optional side this year and extended our stay. just wanted to enjoy as much time as possible. Didn't know about the coffee on the beach thing! I enjoyed the 11:am dives as I had not dove in years .. had a blast. Looking forward to meeting some fun people and cutting loose!

Nude side is close to the pool, but longer walk to the main dining area, piano bar, disco.
Prude side is near all that but further walk to the nude pool.
The only advantage I have ever found is that if your at the nude pool and wanted something from your room (as group leaders this happens alot), or wish to use your own private facilities, lol.
Other than that, you end up walking the same distance as you will be at all spots in the resort by the end of the day.

We always book OVN at least since they began room categories. We always managed to get the second to the last building nearest the nude pool. I really like using my own bathroom during the day and always find a reason to go to the room for something since we spend the entire day at the beach. Art’s at the beach real early, often at sunrise, and I don’t leave the beach until dark since I enjoy happy hour at the nude bar and have stayed there past 7pm more than a few times. I love having my morning coffee in my room looking out over the ocean. It’s just so darn convenient. When I go up for dinner I don’t go back to the room until I’m going to sleep so I don’t have an issue with that trip once a day. Art brings me breakfast at the beach and I usually eat lunch at one of the beach grills. So I’m spoiled as heck.

The building we usually stay in all have upgraded premium rooms (2167 thru 2175). We are not that crazy about the new layout, glass shower next to the bed and lack of storage. We are rolling the dice for next April and just booked the OVN hoping to get the building next to the nude pool without the new rooms. Downside is that this building really only has one room with an ocean view (2176 thru 2180). The other rooms (2177 thru 2178) look into the back of the stone shower or at the nude beach bar. At worst we will be in the building on the east side of the massage shack (2111 to 2166) which is further than I would like but manageable.

Our first year in 2011 we booked the Nude side and stayed in H Block, which was just fine, as we thought the "Prude" side was just that. After learning that it was really c/o Herladyship suggested the Ocean View "Regular" rooms which we have stayed in the past 2 years and will be there again in January. It is a nice flat walk along the beach in the morning to get to the Nude pool and gives you a chance to shake off any cobwebs from the night before. To avoid the inconvenience of going back to the room during the day for any forgotten, but necessary items, Herladyship came up with a great solution...she sends ME for them!

On the way back late afternoon we make a pit stop at the "Regular" pool and beach bar to refresh ourselves before continuing the walk.

I've said it before but we love the "prude" side. We love the cheaper price. We love the beautiful walk to the nude side. We love the view. We love the alone time before the nude side fun. Like everyone has said the prude side is pretty much nude also, you just don't have to be. But why wouldn't you stay nude? We still have over 100 days until we get back. Hurry up!!!!

I also book the trip but must get approval from on high! I usually only have to make 1 extra trip per day and like Naughty Nudist, I view it as part of my exercise...have to work some blood back into my alcohol stream.

First time we went we stayed garden view prude, second time garden side nude since they were out of available prude side rooms when we booked. Though it was nice being closer to the nude pool/beach/hot tub, I personally don't think it's worth the extra $84 per day, which comes to $588 for the 7 days we are booked for this March.

I don't really mind the walk to the nude side, and since everywhere except the dining room and prude side grill are clothing optional, prude side rooms are fine. I always carry a small drawstring beach bag with whatever I need in it, and I don't care to spend a lot of time in my room anyway.

What Cop said above is true... no matter what you're still at hedo!

We like having our coffee at 7:00 am or so on the nude beach. They bring out a pot as well as fresh fruit and pastries. We can have our first cup without having to put on clothes.
