Good call on the powdered Gatorade, I'm gonna add that to my packing list.

I think most rooms have an alarm clock and I think it has a cd player on it which is cool because you can bring a disc with your favorite tunes and set it to play that music as your wakeup alarm. Having your favorite tunes ready to play is also a good way to get your energy levels up while you're getting cleaned up and dressed too.

Does Hedo make milkshakes by any chance. I find if I do get hung over a big chocolate milkshake works wonders and coats the tummy. Oh I hope they have shakes...

Not milkshakes, but dirty banana's that will work the same with plenty of potassium so you won't get cramps either, LOL

and as far as partying for the week, just like golf, keep your head down and follow through.

    Cheers

Hedo and golf have certain things in common: You want a full grip on your shaft and you always want to see where your balls are going.

I have a hard time about day three as well. To push past it I find that a nice two hour nap late afternoon is a huge help. Booze makes me sleep so I limit my intake and keep a lot of other liquids in hand. No one will know if that cola is with or without rum. I also make sure I get up for breakfast and have a banana or two early in the day. So far I have only lost one night. Know your limits, stay well within them and you will do fine. Wild Women put on a great week. We will be there for the March trip.

You and me both, I am good for anywhere from 1-3 hours, but then after that first trip, I need one of those moving floors like the airport from the nude pool to the mens room, lol.

I usually slow down or stop drinking around 5 pm when we head to the hot tub. Then I go and get ready for diner and I do not start drinking again until around 9 pm. I usually have one cocktail with my diner, but the rest is water. Then I drink again from 9 pm until about 3/4/5 am. But I pace myself and don't go full out, just enough to have a good buzz. Besides, you don't want to be sloppy drunk there, it is not sexy
I could not have agreed with this more !

We tend to linger over breakfast. We eat fruit, take our time and drink lots of water before we even hed over to Delroy's. Since the place is usually geared more toward late morning/afternoon anyhow, we'll usually do "our thing" during the early part of the day. Kayaking, snorkeling, sailboats, beachwalks etc. That way we don't even start the drinking until later in the day. Naps usually hit around day 3 or 4 so that we can be recharged for evenings.

All that being said... it wouldn't be the first time one of us has gone a li'l far... Also, if someone shows up and starts passing around a plastic jug full of some kind of concoction... best just to let it pass on by...

Living your plastic mug at home should be a good idea.

We have friends who party hard in New Orleans often. They are all in the medical field, so they bring saline bags and IV's. Nearly instant recuperation. LOL

We don't drink the sugary stuff. One kiddy drink per day, the rest is straight vodka shots and we keep our thermo mugs filled with water. Water, water, water. We still pass out, but feel better when we wake up.

I agree with the afternoon nap, that's what gets us through. We usually go in between 4-5, sleep and "nap", then head up to dinner about 8:30 or 9. It is definitely ok to take a night or two to go in early and rev it up the next day!

Definitely agree about the sugary drinks, although we will indulge in a Dirty Banana once or twice during the week. Getting through the day is usually not a problem as we drink rum and diet coke or rum with pineapple and orange juice and they always fill our thermal containers with ice first. The downside is dinner where we both drink red wine and there is always a devoted waiter or waitress who keeps replenishing our wine glasses. I know...there is also water at the table.
