    Airport transfer

Was so excited about finally booking another Hedo trip I forgot to check into airport transfers. On our last visit it was still a provided service. The ground transportation I've found isn't exactly cheap. Anyone know how much more it is to hop a plane to Negril these days?

$550 per couple is what I was quoted a few weeks ago from Tim Air if it is just the two of you. A few bucks off if they have another couple or two they can put on the same flight. Our trip on the bus in 2009 was the trip from hell, so it is worth it this time for us to go the Tim Air route.

    Cheers,

    Stef and Em

Stefbo, would you mind expanding on that 2009 bus trip? While we have never had one that we loved, we never had one from hell. Well in the 90's had a dangerous one from Sandals/Runaway Bay back to the airport; but we are curious as to what happened, as we are regular visitors that take the bus.

Tim air in april was 220 total 1 way for 2
The plane only has 4 seats and one if for the pilot so adding couples is tough

We always use Tim Air back from Negril and suggest everyone does it at least once -great experience

This was the qoute from Tim Air on 12 July 2013 "The one-way price to charter a plane for two passengers is US $135.00 per pearson. The round trip price is US $270.00 per person.". Hope it helps!

    Cheers,

Here is part of the email I got from Timair and by the way if you haven't experienced Timair we did it last year for the first time and loved it! We do Timair on the way in a Club Mobay on the way out, nothing like getting to paradise quickly and going out in style skipping right thru customs in your own line, free drinks and snacks with service second to none with Club Mobay we loved it!

Thanks, that helps. Will probably try to arrange just a flight back from Negril. I also seen a flight on Intl Air Link for $118 one-way, but don't know how their service is. The comp drinks and snacks sound pretty good too.

Air Link has a set schedule of flights which can be problematic if your flight is delayed. Also, they have limited planes. If a plane experiences mechanical problems you have to wait until the next scheduled flight. Tim Air is a chartered flight and they have always been ready when I get there. I have not tried Air Link yet.

We always use Tim Air to get to Negril, we are in more of a hurry to get to the resort than to return home. On the way back we usually use a driver (we have a couple we have used over the years0 costs us around $89 for both of us and it is a fast ride.

As others have said Tim is not scheduled and if your plane is late we have never had a problem unless we arrived after they stop flying for the day (only happened once)

    Next trip Dec 15 - 21 2019

The one time we used Interlink they waited a full hour for us when we were late. And they never charged anything extra for it. But if you want cheap ground transportation go to denny P's website. $30 round trip. He'll set you up even if you didn't book through him. We've used it twice last year with no problems. In fact one of the trips there was no one else going at the time we were so they gave us our own van ride all the way to Hedo.
