Lounge Chairs Reserved or Hogged ?

Sounds like many changes have been in the works. We were there when the change over took place (fluff week) .
Wondering if there are more lounge chairs available . Trip 8 for us this year , every year we see the same thing chairs reserved early and not being used throught the day.

We had a Jaccuzzi beach front on the nude side 3 weeks ago and would come out and lay our stuff on two chairs and then go eat breakfast and enjoy the chairs the rest of the day. We did not see chairs/loungers reserved but not used. Capacity was pretty good so it was not like there were a ton of extra chairs.

We'll be there for 8 nights starting this Friday the 26th. This is one of the things that has us concerned. Hedo really needs to implement a chaise policy like the one Desire has.

At Desire, no chaises can be reserved until the "pool concierge" arrives in the morning. (around 8-8:30 if I remember correctly) If someone is already there on a chaise when the pool concierge arrives, the concierge will take down their room number, and the chaise will then "officially" be theirs for the day.

If a reserved chaise is left unattended for 2 hours, the "missing person's" stuff will be gathered up by the concierge and held for them, and the chaise will be available to whoever happens to be waiting for one.

We think this is an extremely reasonable policy, as 2 hours is plenty of time to go get breakfast, lunch, hit the spa, etc.

Allowing people to reserve chaises in middle of the night as they stumble back to their rooms is crazy, as many of these people may not be rolling out of bed until noon, meaning that chaise could sit vacant for hours after the pool opens!

Any way, we're hoping the whole thing will be a non-issue when we arrive later this week. After all, there's more important things to worry about, like what our next drink is going to be, or what sexy outfit D will be wearing to dinner that night!!

I also suggested to the owners when I was there that they should put some sort of lockers at the nude pool as a lot of time people put stuff on the loungers to keep it dry since the pool deck gets pretty wet by the end of the day. I think if they lockers then less lounge chairs would be taken. So anyone who goes, suggest that to the owners, if enough people suggest it then they might do it

Honestly -- cubbies would be nice -- how about some towel hooks since people are in the pool most of the time and nothing dries when in a ball.

The 2hr rule on the pool deck would be awesome since the space is limited but there is enough beach that it really shouldn't apply.

I think this is a good idea also. I spend very little time in a chair but my wife likes to lounge and read, so we got to the point where we only seek out one chair and I just put my stuff at the end of it or underneath.

Definitely agreed on the cubbies! Those are great for keeping towels & stuff dry when you want to be in the pool or hot tub during an afternoon rain shower.

In June there were so many lounges that they were putting some away in storage as to keep them in good shape.

Saving a chair and not using it is bad enough but they put a blue hedonism floaty matress on the chairs with the towels on top, so if you want to float you can't.
