Open challenge

The Jamaican Waterslide Team is offering a wide ranging challenge to any and all who would like to compete against our mastery of the waterslide. We'll be holding an open competition during the period 7 to 14 September. We will have a crew of unimpeachable judges to select the winners in several categories such as style, distance after landing and highest, biggest splash. If you'd like to compete and perhaps walk away with a championship in September, check us out at www.jwst.com. We currently hold the record for the most individual runs down the waterslide by any group, and also all of the category awards. This could be your big chance for glory...........don't miss it. Who keeps track? I can't imagine anyone keeping record with groups going down.

I was just curious. He said they held the record, so it sounded like a count to me. And if they were doing a contest, most times names are written down so there would be a count. lol

Okay.............we'll fess up. The Jamaican Waterslide Team has made 6,969 individual runs down the waterslide combining both Hedo II and Hedo III slides. If you turn that number upside down, it still reads 6,969. Then one day, on the way down, our statistician broke the counter and we've never replaced it. Now the number should be somewhere way above our last count. If any group cares to challenge that, they certainly are welcome to do that.

Kinda confused...6,969 in one day? In one trip...or? if you have 50 people in your group and they all go down approx. 20 times a day, you'd get 6,000+. 6,000 over the course of multiple trips?

Not trying to be difficult, just wondering how you came up with 6969.

**Saw your group page.. you guys have approx 100 members... so about 10xs a day. so if 100 people go down every day, 10 times... approx 1 minute per person... that's 1,000 minutes, that's a lot of water sliding, sounds like a lot of fun and exercise!

Personally I don't have a problem with double 69's Even at multiple trips and a broken counter 6,969 is pretty darn impressive

Guess you guys earned your name Jamaican Waterslide Team!!! Do they just keep the waterslide on all the time while you guys are there? We always have to ask them to turn it on. Then we feel bad that they went through the trouble to turn it on so we get more people to go on and go at least twice! It's always fun and refreshing!

Actually our Waterslide Co-captains take care of of those little details for us. Their whistles come in handy to get the crowd moving as well.
