Both months are probably the hottest months with the highest humidity. August will also have a greater chance of tropical storms/hurricanes. If that is your window of opportunity, I would go with early July.
Having said that, prepare to have people tell you that their group is the best and that you should book with them!!!

June is a good summer month too as it is not as hot as the next two months. Plus there is still time to book !

We have been there in July and it was actually hotter back home in CT than it was in Negril.

I agree about the 3rd and 4th week of June. Airfares are less, weather is more hurricane/rain resistant, and there the 5 different groups available which means the resort has lots of guests but not overbooked, waters are warm. Just a thought...

I have not been during these months but I do know several regulars who love 4th of July week. I'm told they have a good size crowd with lots of energy, lots of regulars and a Hedostyle parade down the beach to Sandals. LOL

We have been going for yrs for the 4th of July week...the marching band comes in, and we a "funky" style parade..it's so much fun!!!..they have 4th of July food, ribs, corn, etc..decorate for us...I would not miss it...
