Can someone clarify the airport to resort transfer situation? Two years ago (our last trip) you went to the Superclubs lounge, and then your bags were loaded onto the free resort bus, and off you went. We couldn't make it last year, but heard that as of last September you were on your own to arrange a paid transfer, and that the shuttle and lounge were being closed down. We read in some of the latest posts that people went to the lounge and got on the shuttle. Are they back to the old system, or are we not understanding the posts? Our concern (if you have to make arrangements privately) is how to do it in advance, and how to find someone reputable? Thanks in advance, Jointlock.

If you want to book a bus transfer your travel agent should be able to do it for you. The Hedonism lounge is still open for now. You can also go outside and get a taxi or you canpre arrange a taxi. I use Rocky's Tours and he charges $70 per couple from the aiport to Hedo. It is usually $80-$100, so that is a good deal

I too use a cab so I can arrive ASAP. The transport bus makes stops along the way and for me that is pure torture. A direct ride with a cab generally takes about 1.5 hours give or take. Depends on the traffic, time of day etc.
I only use the bus to go back to the resort and so far my T/A has always provided the arrangements.
