Hello All

I'm brand new to the forum and also brand new to the idea of Adult travel/vacations. I tried searching for a similar thread and didn't spot anything but maybe I just didn't search very well. We are 40's couple who are new to a Female Dominant/Male Submissive relationship. This is not a 24/7 arrangement for us but something we are both interested in exploring more. I know that some of the resorts like Hedo have certain "theme" nights that would seem to relate to us but I'm wondering what the reaction would be if it was more of a full time thing while we were there. Would that cause any issues? Are there some resorts that would be better for that than others?

I would not see any issues.
Last year we saw a couple that every day the wife had the husband leashed to a bed next to a small pool as she relaxed in the pool. He said she was punishing him for being bad the previous night.
No one minded.

Thanks for the response Cop. This all seems so overwhelming for being a new person at this. I didn't think there would be much said, but I wasn't sure if there were any thoughts on which resorts would be better or worse for that kind of scenario.

I noticed that you're from Philly. We're right outside of Philly ourselves.

Dont worry so much about what others think, thats not what Hedo is about.
I can think of a better / safer place to get your freak on.

Also, dont feel that you need to limit yourselves to Kink Week. If one partner wants to lead the other around in fetish gear or just a collar and leash every day and night... its all good.

Hedo, definitely not an issue.
Not sure about other resorts. They don't even allow PDAs in most areas, so I would think Hedo would be best!

In our relationship, Bruce is the dominant and I am the submissive. We don't stay "in role" all the time either at home (kids) or on vacation. However, Hedo is VERY kink friendly. Bruce and I have had outdoor play time many many times there- there are lots of good spots for tie ups, floggings, etc. even suspension! No one has ever said a word. Once in a while a staff person will ask quesstions afterwards like "why did you do that?", but there has never been a problem at all. I just LOVE being tied up, blindfolded, where I can hear the waves of the sea, feel the breeze, and the floggers, canes, etc......

And I've worn my collar and leash many times. It's almost expected on Fetish theme night, ha!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and feedback. It definitely sounds as though Hedo would be the place to go. We've always done "car travel" trips before so packing the toys into an extra suitcase was never a big deal. I guess with a trip like this we'd just have to make sure the toy bag was checked through. Haha.

Just make sure that any vibrating or other "electrical" toys (tens unit, etc.) have the batteries removed so they don't unexpectedly go off right as TSA is screening them. And it would be our recommendation, based upon over 10 years traveling with "toys", that your toy bag is definitely packed in your checked baggage, not taken as a carry on.

Cop - We're kind of limited on get away dates. I would love to be able to go in Nov during Kink week, but that just doesn't fit our schedule. It's looking like our best options are going to be late July to early August. I know it will be super hot (temperature-wise) at that time but we're really kind of stuck with that time frame.

FrednPatti - Thanks for the advice about the toys. I had already realized that I'd need to check the "toy" bag but I hadn't thought about making sure to take all of the batteries out first. Great advice.
