Good Desire Groups for 30-40 yr olds???

We've been to Hedo but considering considering a Desire vacation in 2014. Wondering on best time of year to go and some good lifestyle friendly groups to time our visit with so there will be a good population of 30-40 yr olds there??? While we love to party with people of all ages, we like to have people close to our age to spend time with and have fun with. Appreciate any group suggestions! Thanks!!

Usually isn't a lot of "partying" at Desire RM. Very quite usually unless you are lucky enough to find a tek over.

Which Desire? Pearl, RM, or Los Cabos?

You would find many in your age range in our group. We are the former Quad Squad from Hedo 3 so you will get a Hedo vibe at Desire. The last few years we were going to RM but this year we will be going to Pearl and I suspect that will be our new home. We go the second week in June. We've never had an issue finding people our age (mid 30's) or younger at Desire RM or LC. I've never seen Desire RM quiet with no partying!!!!! I guess it depends on your definition of partying.

My definition of partying is socializing in and around the pool during the day. Most people sat around and read the I readers and looked funny at you when you tried to strike up a conversation. There was more partying at night. But the RM was just not for us. But to each their own

We have been burned so many times, traveling to the carib during the summer and fall. We were either getting chased by a tropical storm, or cane, or we were arriving right after one, and the rain was set in. Both of our extended families live on the gulf coast and if we're not worried about our flights/trip/accomodations, being cancelled; we're worrying about them! For us, vacation should be as stress free, as possible. And we dont need another thing, to worry about!

We made a couple of decisions in 2006, that have served us well. We decided to travel as a group and do a takeover of Desire RM. And we decided to travel to Desire RM, in May:

1) Rates are lower than the high season of Jan - Mid April
2) Rates are just a little bit more, than the low season; June-Dec
3) No chance of a tropical storm or hurricane in May (we always travel the first FULL week in May).
4) Guaranteed warm ocean and pool and ambient temperatures (unlike jan-april)
5) Still chills down a little at night
6) A few degrees cooler and a little less humid than summer
7) Guaranteed less rain than summer and fall. May experiences some of the least rainfall of the year. we have not had a drop of rain, the last 3 years in a row, during our resort takeovers in May.
8) Takeovers guarantee that the resort will be full and ROCKING!
9) Takeovers guarantee that there will be a mixture of ages and interests. After having hosted 8 annual takeovers in May since 2006, it has become apparent that "that there is someone for everybody". Whatever your interests or persuasion, you are bound to find couples, in the group, that match up, with you.
10) Most groups like ours; "the hot tamales", have a private web site where everyone that participating in the takeover, gets to see and know one another, months before they get there.

Wife and I are in our Mid 40's and are going in April of 2014. Want to meet other couples who may be going in that month. We were at RM in late 2012 and loved it. Time to go back and meet some new friends!!! We are from Louisiana.
