Advantage of a group trip???

My wife and I are thinking about going on our second Hedo trip over Thanksgiving. The last time we went, it was late June /early July. How is it over Thanksgiving? Is it booked solid, completely empty, or somewhere in between. We haven't seen any groups planned for that time,but we're wondering about the advantage of booking with a group. Are ther pricing breaks? What are the benefits?

We normally go the the week after Thanksgiving so not exactly sure how it is over the actual Holiday but we love it there that time of year, best weather of the entire year and a great group is always there the 1st week of December!!

Surprised nobody has actually answered the original question yet lol. I'm not qualified, as I haven't been there yet, but my research has told me that group trips give you a significant price break over booking with Hedo. Perhaps travel agents in general can get those prices, but it is 800 or so cheaper than booking direct. Although Hedo does have sales, which they have right now for our dates, so the difference isn't as big.
Typically a group has a general theme, and if you fit in with that theme, you have a leg up on going during a time when other like minded people are there. The groups tend to have a lot of discussions online before the trip, so you get a good chance to meet some of the other people that will be there at the same time.
Doesn't mean you are limited to people in that group of course. Just that there will be at least some people that you get to know a little bit before you go. And when you walk to the naked pool for the first time, there will at least be a familiar face or two to ease the anxiety a bit lol.
And depending upon the group, there may be some cool group events put on that wouldn't normally exist. Some of them are limited to members of the group, some aren't.

I beleive it is always best to look at the groups going when you are planning on going and getting to know the group a little before booking. There are usally many perks to booking with a group such as group pricing, events, getting to know people beforehand and so much more

When we went for our first trip 6/28-7/3 back in 2011, we didn't go with a group and not a single organized group was there for the majority of our stay. When we arrived, the place felt dead, there was hardly anyone around. It was insanely hot too, maybe that's their slow season? By the end of our trip, people started pouring in for at least 2 significant organized groups over the 4th of July holiday. I wish we had known, I think it would have been fun to hang out with a bigger crew of folks. This time, we're contemplating going over Thanksgiving during which time there are no organized group trips as far as we can tell. We're also considering the summer simply to take advantage of the opportunity to join up with an organized group to see what it's like. I know how to use the calendar to see when groups are going, we're just curious if anyone knows from a historical perspective what it's like over Thanksgiving. I'll have to look into the Spanksgiving idea, for science!
