Haha it's interesting to see the level of devotion Hedo has-most companies would kill for that kind of brand loyalty. I see both sides-but like I said, we have already decided to try Desire after our May trip. We can all only hope that the new owners return the love that the people on here show them, and make Hedo the best it can be.
MrNYCguy (better start putting that since the Ms has hijacked my account lately haha)

I'm sure N will appreciate the compliments haha! She takes pretty damn good care of her infrastructure haha

-Trash in pool water, cloudy, both Hedos, all trips.
    I have never seen this.

-Quit putting your hand out for a tip.
never seen this. I know a few people have shaken my hand, maybe I was stupid, I thought they were just being nice

-Obnoxious guests, ya know they exsist.
Yep they do. Some are even on here

-VIOLENT nightly shows, simulated gunfire, tacky costumes etc.
No complaints here, not sure what your views of violence are, but they must differ from mine.
    -Sweaty cheese at the buffet.
2 mins out in that heat it is going to sweat, that is why it is small trays that are replaced often.

    -Cocktails in plastic cups.
I am walking around half naked or naked, I don't want broken glass throughout the resort.

-Both Hedos had a crappy beach, while 7 Mile is gorgeous.
Hedo 3 was crappy, Hedo 2 is amazing

-Quit selling me pot, its' illegal and I dont smoke it.
Some people go there for the pot (not saying we do, just saying some do). You would like Mexico, they don't sell you pot there

-The one single ashtray, a stump outside of the main bar.
    Yeah, they need lots more

    -No pool side service.
That makes for being social at the bar.

-Takeovers. Its not your flippin resort, your consuming way to many resources.
Not sure what to say about that, have no opinion

-Every trip without fail we get screwed and left behind by a licensed cab driver.
NEVER happened to us and we have used a few. Buut I suppose it could happen. Several from our group have taken cabs places and the cab waited and waited for them and did not expect payment until after they returned them. If you gave money up front, maybe you shouldnt do that.

-Checkin at both resots was painful, slow, rude, and they never looked in your eyes while speaking.
They are on Jamaica time, it could be quicker but I usually take the time to chat with friends I run into in the lobby. They usually have to yell to me that it is done so I can go party naked!!!

    -Overzealous picture takers.
Once in a blue moon this happens. But that is gonna happen at any resort where you are naked. You do have to keep you eyes open sometimes.

    -Old and busted beach chairs
They sit outside 24 hours a day in weather, but I don't think they are bad at all.

-Saving pool chairs with a custom made t-shirt or a towel with your name on it,Jerk.
They want to be able to easily reconise their chair instead of the hotel towels that everyone has on theirs and don't know who's is who's. We do this and it very smart

-And what's with the sacrificial platform at the main pool?
    ?????

    -Locals, when they invade.
Once again no opinion, never seen it.

-LINEJUMPERS, I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS.
Tends to happen with drunk people, sorry, probably done it myself.

-The random asshole that uses all the vodka for 55 Woo Woo shots.
    I prefer run cream

-The noise the chairs make in the dining room's when you move them. Both resorts.
Seriously????? You have way too much time on your hands. (I mean that in the nicest way)

-People that post on this forum that use 700 EXCLAMATION points in their post's.
I am sorry, you can go back to all my posts, I am guilty of that in every singel one probably. But I am a very essentric person !!!!!!! and I like to express it

-Any run in with an employee. They can have a bad day too, be advised.
Not sure what you mean here.

    Good

-Johnny at the Nude Grill at H3 - agree
-The nude pool at H3 overlooking the Carribbean - agree
-Spike and Romeo, original EC's at 3 and Glen the piano player - never been a big fan of the piano bar
-Munasan H3 - not a raw fish person
-BoBo the omelet guy at 3/ Maureen the boss of the dining room at 3 - egg stations good at both places
-Proximity to 7 mile at H2 - agreed
-THE QUAD! - Hardly spent more then a min there unless I was talking to someone I ran into on the way to or from our room. I was too busy at nude pool
-Sat. night Grand Terrace Gala, H3 - can't say either way
-The circus/trapeze and show H3 - missed that
-The plunge pools H2 - agreed
-Watersports at H3 - both are great
-Scotch Bonnet at H3 - cant say
    -Conch soup - can't say
-Random rain showers - hate them!!!!!!!!
    -The waterslide. - agreed
-Some of the local art. - agreed

You don't like it, we do. We will just agree to disagree. You go elsewhere and we will go to Hedo. Life is good today (and better in 61 days when we are back at Hedo!!!!)

    You whole response Well Done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    will it ever end??????

People need to chill, the resort is tired and Marshmellow along with the capable assistance from Kevin have a plan.....We have spent the last 10 years watching things deteriorate so far it has not affected our vacation ---- we really miss not being there this week. The new owner do have a dream and I thin most will be more than satisfied as the changes are rolled out. It will take tie and I would expect the the % of nudist to Lifestylers will not change.

    Respect

    Hedo cum soon - enjoy.

Hey folks, just my observations of the 2 resorts and the changes we've seen over the years. No ill will intended.

"We can't talk of hedo3 as we have never been there and never will now....... we really don't see much point for you to list all the good that was at hedo 3..... if the resort was still around it would be a good point but to us it looks like hedo 2 was a better resort as its still open. not trying to rain on your parade here but you can get what we are talking about.... we have only been to hedo 2 2 times so far planning on going many more over the next few years but if we was to look at your post here before we went the first time we might not have went. not many good points on hedo 2...... just our thoughts..."

    Thats fair.

you've never seen cloudy pool water or trash in the pool? Ok, that's VERY difficult to believe.

And it's not the person who places the order for the last of the vodka that's the problem! It's the bartender that let's the bar stock get down to one bottle. or the food and beverage manager who isn't running more vodka down immediately. so, very legitimate complaint, but aimed at the wrong person!

MrNYCGuy, you're right. Most resorts would DIE for the level of cult-like devotion some have to Hedo.
Hopefully the new owners respect that and "feed" their cash cow.
That will make ALL of us happy

I most sincerely apologize, that was mine, next time I'll leave it in the safe so you don't have to climb for it.

Although it's been bitched about before (along with everything else we are bitching about now ), I feel like bitching about chair savers is a valid argument. It's kinda craptastic when you go to sit in a chair on the beach at 10am and you can't have one because 50 towels and shirts are lounging comfortably in the chairs while the owners are who knows where. It's a dick move when the chairs are sitting there 'claimed' for hours. Chairs are for butts, not beach towels. I have no issue with it if you are just running for a drink/snack or otherwise coming right back.

Am I the only one who just puts my stuff on someone else's "reserved" chair?
I figure, if they really want to lay on it, they can move my stuff! lol

I agree with this although it may be difficult to enforce. This brings up another point, if there are going to be rules, they should be enforced consistently, i.e. You must be nude on the nude side. This past January there were more textiles in the nude pool than we have seen in other years when people were told to lose 'em or leave.

I am very polite and respectful, often to a fault. I would never move someone else's things off a chair or put my stuff in it with someone else's, just in case the person comes back. Problem is, I can't gauge when the person is coming back to the chair, like if they did only go to get a patty and they may have had to wait a few minutes to get it, then came right back. I just try to be considerate, but it's often a one way street, it seems.
