    Bikini Area - Laser Treatment

Have any of you ladies had laser treatment to remove hair in the bikini area? Does it work and how much did it cost? How long before it grows back?

Wife just finished her last sessions a couple months ago. Note this this not a once and done procedure, it took 8 months to complete all the sessions.
It was $3500 for 7 areas with discount for 6 sessions and $75 for touchups on large areas. Not totally 100% hair free but probably about 95 to 98% and easily touched up with razor and the remaining hair grows very slowly and is soft. If your hair is light colored it does not work well. Seek out a couple reputable places in your area and get a consultation and estimate, prices vary alot.

We agree with everything Earthangel posted. Mrs. HJ had legs, underarms, Brazilian all done over about 12 months with appointments every 8 weeks or so (can't remember the actual amount of time it took). They want you to keep out of the sun for two weeks before your treatment and two weeks after. As mentioned, the laser will not work on light hair. With the several thousand it cost, she gets to go back for spot treatments for life for a small fee. We went to Ideal Image (this is not an endorsement) and they offered a no interest payment plan. Also, wherever you go, ask them if they can prescribe a numbing cream that you apply an hour before your treatment.

My treatments were 6 weeks apart. I got a great deal (Brazilian and upper legs) for $1500.
New equipment (and an upgrade halfway through the sessions).
I would agree with the slower regrowth, dark hair works best, and the 95%.
And I would HIGHLY recommend a dose of ibuprophen and/or numbing cream!!!!!
God DAMN that hurt! But even worse was the "hives" after. days of itchy bumps. Uggh.... So maybe a little benadryl, too!
