fawlty towers clothing optional resort cocoa beach

we decided to try it out and actually had a fantastic time. We were going to go to that other place in hollywood florida. But our last visit was a total disaster. Dirty room, unpleasant staff, dirty and cold pool, single men everywhere and on top of it, the man at the front desk hates couples. He made the couples park in the city garage and was letting single men on day passes park in the hotel parking lot. So we decided to check out Fawlty Towers Clothing Optional resort in Cocoa Beach. We saved money for gas on the way down and the resort was quaint with a tiki bar, pool and they will soon be adding a hot tub. they don't let single men in and that is a blessing. Because we know the other place uses couples just to get single guys there. Fawlty towers is about 50 yards from the beach, a tropical setting, the staff was nice and the rooms were clean. Swinging goes on but it is just under the radar and it happens after 10 in the evening and the couples were very pleasant as well. We highly recommend fawlty towers nudist resort in Cocoa Beach florida.

Sounds like the resort is very anti-lifestyle. From the resort's rules page (http://fawltytowersresort.com/Pages/rules.html), emphasis mine:

    1. This is a relaxed environment and must remain non-threatening and non-sexual at all times.
    2. Swingers and talk of swinging is prohibited on this property and will not be tolerated.
    3. Singles may not make internet bookings (they must call ahead to be pre-approved).
    4. Sexual and provocative clothing is not acceptable.
    5. All rooms are non-smoking (there is a $100.00 fine for breaking this rule). Smoking is allowed outside your room and in designated areas, please ask at reception for information and ash trays.
    6. Unregistered guests and or visitors will be charged $50.00 per person.
    7. All alcohol consumed in recreation areas during bar hours must be purchased from the bar.
    8. Cameras and video recorders are not acceptable. Cell phone use should be kept to a minimum and not used for the above reasons.

    Not at all

Just like any nude resort which is new to the area, FT is trying to appease the local citizens and government. It is actually very laid back and lifestyle friendly, however they are under the radar with local law enforcement and maintain a fairly tight grasp on things during the day to not give anybody, any reason to shut them down. In fact, there was a fair amount of play and room swapping going on when we were there but it took place later in the evening!

yeah, that area is a strange one. It's often *packed* with retirees and snow birds who are hell bent on a squeaky clean image. Cocoa Beach has all but declared war on spring break crowds too. So I can see that this place would have stuff like that on the website.

I lived in the area for a few months and can vouch for most of what the OP has said. It's in a great location, close to some nice beaches, a few ok bars, stuff like that.

Just returned from Fawelty Towers hotel. It seems to bein bad need of repairs. It is advertised of having a heated pool but the water was very cold. We were told the heater was broken. We will not return.

Just looking for any updates on Fawlty Towers. The wife and I are a 30s couple and will be in the area at the end of March 2013. We will definitely be hitting the C/O beach but we were curious with the towers. We are not looking to hang out with our grandparents friends. Is the hot tub in?
