Room rates on the Hedo 2 site question

OK here is what we put in and what we got......we put in on the H2 site...April 27th to May 3rd leaving Nashville on AA...6 days....oceanview $331.50 or $1989 for the room for the week for both....with flight it comes to $2951 total. So flight is $962 for both. Not sure what the group would be seeing that we are going in 2014 so don't have any quotes from them...I don't know what oceanview is but it can't be the cheapest room they have???? Wouldn't garden rooms be less? That's what I put in on the H2 site for rooms on those dates.
Does everyone get the same price for rooms only? $1989 for those dates.

Part of the problem is that you are not putting in a full week. April 27 to May 4 is a full week, that's why it is closer to the rate I quoted you for 2013 for a week.

Ok so the longer you stay or as long as it's a full 7 days or a full week sun to sat it's cheaper that way?

Maybe since you are booking your flight so early it is cheaper. I've never had the opportunity to do that but I would LOVE to be able to fly out of Nashvile!! Back to the room rate We have almost always paid $139.00 pp thru the groups that we have booked with. Gardenveiw should be cheaper either way.

We aren't going in 2013 we are going that week in 2014 just using that year to look at prices and all. Do you guys go that week usually?

I was just saying that the samples I used was for a full 7 nights, you only put in 6 nights. And you must be looking at 2013 rates, since you can't yet get a quote for 2014. You can only go one year in advance.

Yes 2013 dates. The price isn't that bad really just hope they stay close to that next year. One thing...on prude side can you walk to your room nude as long as you don't walk into the main building?

Yes, we did last January as did many others. Prude is a bit of a misnomer, it is more clothing optional.

We have always booked GVP, and paid the minimum price. As far as we are concerned, the difference is the walk along the beach to get back tot he room to either change or sleep. The rest of the time we live on the nude side. We don't mind the walk 90% of the time. At 3:00 am when you've consumed a few too many purple MF's it can be a little rough though...

From Logan airfare when we bought it was about a grand give or take a couple bucks as a combined total for round trip with 2 people. The room was about $1900. The Hedo website was much higher, we booked at a group rate.

We feel ya on the southwest thing, but we booked Jetblue the last 3 years running and we really like them. First checked bag is free and you can watch TV almost all the way down for free. We get direct flights for cheaper than a lot of one stops.

Does anyone know where the room is on site that hedo2 quotes? It must be the room that's as far as can be from anything. The rates are less than other groups I've seen but that can't be right. I'm the nerd and plan things out way out ahead of time. I put some dates on the site to see the rates they are cheaper but they have so many other room cats that the price changes alot. So I guess I'm asking is hedo quoting me the lowest rate they have in a bad location so I'll book or are the groups cheaper....looks like the groups would be cheaper and would be more fun to....also airfare...do you book with the group at the time of booking the room or can you wait and find a deal on your own? Can you book air and find a deal later on the same airline and just refund the difference in price later?
I know I'm the nerd here but I'm the planner in the family.

We've had better deals than $139 a night. But not his year. Superclubs offers different incentives in different countries. Last year Skoosh out of England was offering rooms at $109.00 per night. We paid $130.00 per night from our regular TA. This year prices outside the group rates are ridicules.
Superclubs has let a lot of their Canadian sales force go (so I've heard), and there are no more deals.
This year most of the TA's for groups have the same starting price, of $139.00. Our Canadian TA was priced way higher than the group rate this year, for the first time, but then met the group price we got on-line.
Be aware that going with a TA associated with a group, will get you extra's, like free airport transfers, booty, etc.,
Air from Seattle for two people is over $1500.00 USD. Thats $900.00 less than flying out of Vancouver. So your prices aren't bad.
