Well, we decided to take a quick 3 nighter to Temptation for the wife's bday Aug 3 thru 5 because Hedo was completely booked. So, a couple of quick questions....one, I've read that sex in public areas is prohibited but the real question is, do they over-look it? Another question is, beside the obvious, how does it compare to hedo?

Public sex is not only prohibited, it's not even attempted. Many guests (when we were last there in Cancun) were most certainly not Hedo-nists (not even close!)
How does the resort compare? Totally different. Nothing like the same guests, vibe ... Not even close.
You might want to try the 'new' Los Cabos Desire (formally Temptations and before that Desire). Nice place, lively vibe low occupancy, nice rooms and food. Can't swim in the ocean. Well worth the very low costs.

I'd try to switch to one of the Desires...Temptation will be a disappointment if you're looking for Hedo. I'd say it's Hedo Xtra-lite, and you will be asked to leave for PDA. Topless is permitted, but maybe 50% actually do if you're on a good week. Sorry to be negative if you're expecting better...just stating a reality.

i will try to add some pluses for you. very nice rooms and beach is beautiful. food was very good at all the restaurants. we met some really cool people there and we still hope to go back at some point with them. the resort does trips into downtown to the bars, we went to coco bongo, loved it, was soo fun! it is like everyone said, nothing like hedo. we went at end of february and it was starting to get the younger crowd in, i felt a bit self conscious at the pool as not many went topless even, and i had to chuckle because i felt it seemed so lame compared to hedo in that aspect. you will have fun and people are still friendly there, just no open sex of any kind at all. but if you are in the lifestyle, you will still find friends there too! have fun, and hey, anywhere on vacation is better than being at work!
