Desires RM Sold?

I received notification on Monday that Desire RM had been sold and actually legally changed hands on Thursday. Does anyone know who the new owner is and/or what their plan for the property is?

Desire Los Cabos was recently sold and as of June 13th it went to a family friendly vanilla resort. Are you sure you got the right Desire?

It is a concern of mine seeing as they have sold one of their resorts. Does anyone know why the sold in Los Cobas and if they might be looking at selling their other properties? I would hate to book and then have the resort change names and clothing options.

The Los Cabos location has been a challenge under the Desire branding, due in part to its location in a heavily developed area (high-rise hotels nearby). As a Desire resort, then a Tempations, back to Desire...now gone. The original resort (RM) has never had issues, or needed re-marketing. The Pearl Desire is still a work in progress (establishing a steady following).

Take this with a grain of salt as it came from one of the Time Share salesmen at Pearl...

We were told that after one year of managing Pearl, the Desire company is convinced that this location is a winner and is entering into negotiations to buy Pearl outright. This will allow them to complete some desired (see what I did there?

) renovations to the disco and the lobby/water feature. He also mentioned the plan to purchase/manage another Desire resort a bit further down the highway - closer to 50-60 minutes away from the Cancun airport.

Again, thanks for the info, much appreciated. I was concerned there might have been a financial issue with the stakeholders in Desire resorts. We are glad to hear otherwise.

Renovations done at Desire RM. Have seen some photos people have posted elsewhere, and looks great. The place was already beautiful though. Cant wait till next month.
