Just got back from the "First To Take A Bite" event. The group was small (only about 20-25 couples), but we had a great time with the people who were there. They have made several of the changes suggested by the focus group, and are working on more. The beach area on the resort is finished, and it is relatively small when you think of a beach. There is no shoreline because the resort is inland and the beach is manmade. It is adjacent to the hot tub and the nude pool, so it is only a couple of steps to the water. It is surrounded by beach beds similar to those at Desire with side curtains. The hot tub is also surrounded by the beds, and we are told that screens will be set up to make the hot tub and those beds a “Private” area where play is permitted. The rooftop hot tub is not yet complete. They ran into some structural engineering issues because of earthquake zone regulations. They are addressing them, but I don’t know when it will be finished. The rooftop beach which was going to be adjacent to the hot tub is a sky bar now and I’m not sure, but I think it will probably remain that way. They plan to put more of the beach beds up there and it will also be a “Private” area. The disco was up and running, but they are still in the process of setting up the lounge adjacent to it. I heard that the equipment and dance floor are rented for now. The floor was a bit too smooth, and spiked heels slipped a time or two, so they are planning to fix that as well as fixing the two stripper poles on the dance floor. The surface is brushed steel instead of polished chrome, and it didn’t work too well. They worked on them a little while we were there, but they still need more work. There is a shadow box on the staircase in the disco which is accessible to anyone, and it made for some great shows (singles, couples, threesomes, moresomes…). The playroom is at the top of the staircase, and it stimulates your imagination when you see people walking upstairs because you know where they are headed and what they have in mind. The playroom is very nice. It is very well decorated and nicely set up with beds big enough to accommodate most sized “parties”. It is the nicest we have been in (in our limited experience). The resort has a clothing optional side and a “prude” side. The prude side is clothing required, and the “nude” side is optional. Nudity is not required. I don’t know how full any of the time between now and October (Grand Opening) will be, but I think the occupancy will see a steady climb as word starts spreading. As I said before, the accommodations and the food are far better than either Hedo or Desire in our humble opinion, and even after their current discounts go away the prices will still be very competitive. We are still devoted to Hedo, but we now have another option, and I’m pretty sure that Fantasy is doing the right things to make the right people want to be there. You can count on seeing us there from time to time.

I have now left three phone message for the resort over the last three weeks; they have not returned my calls. Also emailed the representative I made my reservation with for late July, no reply. Hopefully tomorrow I will hear from them. If any of you have some suggestions for getting them to respond, Im sure would appreciate it. I have paid for my reservation, and have a few questions I need to ask before booking air travel, and rates keep going up while I wait for them to call me back

We booked directly through Fantasy Resort on their 800 number, and they charged the full 5 night stay to our VISA using a Paypal account.
