Hello. We'll be in Cancun April 14-21. We're not staying at a Desire but we'd love to be able to visit and play with like minded people. Any suggestions for how we can meet our people.

Easy: buy a few days at Desire. In all honesty, most paying guests are going to be very suspicious of 'walk ins'. Also, most people at places like Desire like to make friends ahead of any play.
The road into the original Desire is long, through mangrove swamps, with a security gate by the highway. I don't fancy your chances of arriving that way. That leaves you walking a long beach. Not a great idea either. No, buy a room for a few days.
Just my thoughts

Hi Drummerks
As PNK said, If you want to be part of the Desire's Experience your best and only option is to book a room for a few days. At Desire Resorts we don't have any kind of Day Pass or any other type of visit.
For us the security and confortability of all our guests is the most important thing, for that reason it's imposible to enter by the beach, or try to sneak though the front door.
It's a lot better to book a room for 2 or 3 days, make friends, have great time and feel safe at every moment.
Here are some special deals that maybe you'll find interesting if you are planning to visit us in any of our facilities.

The only way is to book a room, as mentioned there's no day passes. You'll never make it in from the road entrance, there's a gate right before the bridge that crosses the crocodile pond and if you're not a paid guest you won't be let in. You can walk the beach in front of the resort as it considered public property in Mexico but if you try to walk up to the resort you'll be approached by security and asked for your room number.
