Help....Deisre or Hedonism II

Looking to go to our first nude resort, which would be the best, Desire or Hedonism II ?

We perfer hedo the other guest seem to be much more friendly. The desires resort was in better shape and a little more fancy. Desires is clothing optional were as Hedo has nude side and a clothing optional side.

Depends- do you want to go to a swingers resort where a party may or may not break out? (Desire) Or do you want to go to a nonstop party resort where if you choose to indulge in lifestyle stuff that can and does happen regularly as well? (Hedo2).
The choice was easy for us. This will be our 9th consecutive year to Hedo in late July-early August.

OK, my take.
Hedo is where people talk to each other, is larger, older and you can do more right on the beach.
The larger beach area gives you more options on what to do or not do on the beach. WE have found and enjoy being part of a great group for a party week and think this is the way to "do" Hedo. Part of a group.
We have started to leave the resort now and then after 6 trips to see some of Jamaica such as 3 Dives Jerk for diner. The sand gravity is now not at strong as it was for years.

Desire is where you eat better food, have a small or non existent beach, pool is clothing OP, roof top hot tub area for "fun" and when you see ppl leave the disco down a hall they are headed for the play room for sex.
After 3 days of watching the crocks in the swamp on the land side of Desire we rented a car and drove down to Tulum for the day with a stop in the town just west to check out the tourist trap shops for T shirts for the kids.

We do not have any plans to return to Desire. IF we come up with a small group of 3 or 4 cpls who want to go and base out of there and hire a driver and mini bus to go see Maya ruins we may reconsider.

We had some great trips to Hedo...but we fell in love with Desire. The below is a trip report we sent ot some folks on

Been to Hedo II three times and Desire twice - 3rd time hopefully August.

One our last two trips to Desire we had a fantastic time! Mix of Swinger, Nudist and Flirty naked people. All were cool.

Rooms: rooms better than Hedonism 2. Lounge chairs by the Jacuzzi or you can escape to the beds where you can have a more “private” time.

Disco: The refurbished Disco blows H2's away (my opinion). Circular bar has seats, couches and beds abound with a "play room” located off to the side. Two poles on the dance floor. Dance floor is small, but fits the size of the resort.

Entertainment / Theme nights – as good or better than H2

Pool – better than H2 – clothing optional – 99% of everyone is naked. No swim up bar, but the pool side waitresses and waiters hustle to get drinks. Great group of waiters and waitresses. No PDA at the pool...PDA at the hot tube, which has 6 day beds for your enjoyment.

Beach: Better than H2; chairs, beach beds are cool, well kept beach. Ocean water is clear – nicer than H2. Food – better than H2. Good sushi and hibachi restaurant. Food at the buffet is a theme night...steak night, Italian night, etc.

Spa: as good as H2 – better amenities. The weight room is adequate. Not as good as H2.Selling point - smaller resort, sexy people / atmosphere and intimate, easy to get to from the airport, etc.
