Actually they serve a very good selection of Chilean wines at the bars and in the themed restaurants. You'll find Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc uusually.
I would call the wine at Hedo "Drinkable". Not sure about finding a good wine outside the resort though.
I think their storage methods are not ideal... I've had glasses that were "fine" .... and ones that I just left sit there.
I believe it's been mentioned before that there is a place nearby -- just not worth it for me. But I am sure the helpful staff will direct you
Would love to have a nice chilled glass of Boones Farm while i am there in April.

We took a cab into town and the driver took us to, What I guess was like a grocery store. They had a good size wine selection and liquor too. We were after patron. This year we are going to try to get a bottle at the airport to bring in our carryon after we go through security.

Wine is very subjective...but in my experience, the red wines at Hedo are undrinkable to someone who likes nice reds. As another poster noted, they are probably not stored properly and the heat takes it toll. The sparking wine/champagne isn't great, but it is drinkable, not a white wine drinker so can't comment on that.

As a Hedo virgin that enjoys a drink or 2 I'd say enjoy the local drinks but if you must drink wine stick with white. Chances are they are stored in a cooler and if not the tannins will not sour the taste as much as a red, if you must go red stick with a lighter fair or be prepared to make it into sangria. I am going to venture to the nude beach as others recommend and as much as Red Stripe isn't my first choice I want to enjoy a cold beer to have a drink in my hand my balls in the sand and as the song says all I need is a beautiful girl. All are welcome to come up and chat to the single guy looking to meet some new friends.
