Could the music in the disco be better?

Is it just me, or could the music played in the disco be better? We always go over with the best intensions but after a few unrecognisable sounds, we retreat to the outside area and take up the night from there. When really we want to “get down” It is my intention this trip to try and pursued the DJ to lend his music a little more in the age range of us older folk....( 40’s) Does no one like Motown any more? Or 70's 80's would do. or, we could take a few cd's of our own?

Whenever they pull out one of the 5 good songs that came out of the 80's we are happy about it, but in general, when the 80's music comes out, we run the other way. So yes, the music could be better, but we would rather see it go the other direction. Just shows that no DJ can ever please everyone.

Yeah I like the dance music from the past 10 years alot better. It is hard to please everyone. The dj will do what he can most of the time if you are respectful in asking. I like to dance with my husband every nite and the disco was a lot better in my opinion last Nov. But LoveVoodo was there for some of our vacation and they seem to do a lot more up to date music.

They play from a list that is SuperClubs approved with a Jamaican over tone. It is what it is. Guest DJ's bring a new set of toons with them. We are in luck, Sandman is coming to DJ the week we are there from LV. I will go do the Disco when he is doing the music. Look out HEDO we are taking over the main pool deck one night with him.

Very true ... but enough drinks certainly help.

Lots of people will agree, we have had a few threads on the disco music in the past.
Why not let guest DJ's play or give them cd's ahead of time?

I think it'd be cool to have music themes in the disco every night just like they do costume themes. Each night features a different genre of music, such as:

    70s/disco
    80s
    pop
    techno
    rap
    Ipod night (guest requests encouraged)

That way people usually know what kind of music to expect that evening, and can either plan on dancing or not.

Fingers crossed, maybe they finally got rid of it! The engineer in me just wants to beg them to put a few Big Ass Fans in there. Always too hot and smelly....
But alas, until I own my own resort....

fantastic idea- it would allow for a variety without catering to just one taste every night-

the dj from LV is awesome, and even better when they set up out on the pool deck instead of disco.
