In reading some past posts, we are wondering if we made a mistake, we are out going people, we inter act , and even spend quality time alone, but in reading posts sounds like a laid back place and we were looking for a bit up beat, we are celebrating our anniversary and looking forward to some fun, so if anyone has recently gone here, please tell us about the resort thanks

Listen to ScubaSteve ... read the reports, and read through the archives here. After spending a couple hours reading through them you will get a very good feel for what to expect. You will also get a feel for what to filter out based on people posting an argument based on a misconception.

Ultimately you then have to swallow the doubt and just go. There are some things that you can never understand based on reading about them. As long as you know what you are looking for, you can make this vacation whatever you want it to be. You are in charge of your Hedo destiny and Hedo can be whatever you make of it.

He is not asking about Hedo, it is Desire Riviera Maya. Is that even clothing optional? It used to be just topless?

All I know about Rivera Maya I saw from the deck of a cruise ship, One thing I do know is the best party in the Western Hemisphere is in Jamaica

You are correct just transpose "Desire Riviera Maya" for "Hedo" and it is hare2Party's post is still valid.

Just replace "couple hours" with "few minutes" and "very good feel for what to expect" with "the opinion of mostly Hedonites."

Desire Riviera Maya
Loved the food, did not love that the beach is off limits to anything more then sleeping and reading a book with a drink in hand.
Do head for the roof top bar, hottub, bed area as soon as you get checked in. Do not get the temp tattoo, do go watch the gaters from the bridge so you do not get to close. The play room is behind the disco so when ppl just start to head off down the hall there you know where they are going.
IT was a very quiet place when we were there until the last day when some EC like ppl showed up with a whistle and tried to get things going.
