Twice at 3 First Time at 2

We've been twice to Hedo 3 and wondering if we can expect anything different?? We're a little apprehensive this time because before we traveled with some close friends. Unfortunenately, we're going double solo!! Anyways, April 5-9 are our days....anything going on that weekend? TNT!

There is a lot of things different. It's like going from the city to the country. The age range will also go up. The staff is awesome, but the acomodations are a bit older and the decor is a bit dated. Unfortunately we never had the chance to experience H3
[I heard the food at H3 was better as well]
You will have fun, the vibe won't be the same, but still fun.

We're also Hedo 3 transplants, been to Hedo 2 a few times now that 3 is gone. You'll find it much the same, nut different. The resort is more spread out so more walking, they do have a beach..they resort layout is much different, but you get used to that very quickly. While we were #3 regulars, all Hedo 2 people would comment on the stairs and how they don;t like walking up to the disco, piano bar etc.
We sort of chuckled as this seemed to be a big "complaint" when comparing Hedo's. Well, just to point out the disco at Hedo 2 is Downstairs just not UP...Also Hedo 2 is on a hill...not as many stairs as #3 used to have, but alot of inclines to get to dining room.
Go have fun...no worries...we transitioned without a problem.

I dont think there was a difference in food. The layout/property is a tradeoff: much better beach; not a great location for the nude hot tub. (set back:no view). Otherwise, it is about the same. (in my opinion. Lots of others in past threads from last year when H3 closed.)

Have fun! Always great to go home

We started our group at H3, moved to H2 last year, will post more when I get back from physical therapy.
We arrive on the 5th as well and our group starts on the 7th, so there will be LOTS going on then, lol.

It is very different, and yet very much the same. You will have a great time, and it will make you miss H3 dearly. We had 7 trips to H3 before it closed and then 3 to H2. We still miss H3, but we are getting used to our new home.

We too are Hedo 3 vets but still love Hedo 2 since the other closed. We arrive on April 6. Look forward to meeting you.

The best thing is they took the Best EC's from H3 and H2 combined them to make an All Star Team. You will recognize some famaliar faces, 50, Nick, Serena, and many others. And you will quickly make new friends from H2 as well.
The main difference as stated are the layout of the resort, its more lengthy at H2, the nude beach is much larger and nicer at H2, and the only rooms with rear doors exiting on the water side are the nude ocean view rooms with their own hot tubs.
The water slide does not go thru the Disco but it is right outside of it and ends up by a glass window that is at the Disco.
The Disco is on the first level, no large stairs to get in there or the piano bar.
The Piano Bar guy is way different, many love him, I am not a big fan, but usually a good time there as well.
The EC's as I said are now the all star team, so they are amazing and always working hard.
The shows have been elevated, with Naughty Nick coming over to run the entertainment there, the shows are amazing. Top Notch.
The food had been getting better with the addition of a new chef last year but I hear he left, were looking forward to meeting who ever is his replacement.
If you want to do the nude cruise its no longer a bus ride to the boat, it docks and picks you up right at Hedo's dock on the beach.
There is no volleyball in the nude pool, only in the main pool, which is now clothing optional (anywhere but the dining areas)
The nude hot tub is way bigger.
Munasan is actually not inside, its under the roof in the rear of the main dining area.
The Itilian place is now called "Martino's" and about the same as H3 was.
The main bar is also under the main dining area not outside and seperate like H3, but it is right next to the main pool area.

I am sure there are a few other differences. It is different, not better, not worse, but different, and yet the same.
It is the same atmosphere which is most important, the same people going there, with the same kind of attitudes. Which is what really makes Hedo, Hedo.

Larger layout, larger beach, a little more dated....
Same great people, same great vibe (no pun intended).

No worries. Many of us have made the transition. It comes down to the people. Serena made it over. The beach at 2 is awesome.

Great responses, thanks guys! Now, when we decided to originally go with 2 over 3 it was because of the SCUBA. The way I understand it though, is that 2 has diving too? TNT

Yes, they do have scuba diving at Hedo 2...
But you do realize that there is no Hedo 3 now. It closed in the fall 2010.

    Cheers

Scuba is included just as it was at H3. They have an early morning deep dive for advanced open water and above and a later morning shallow dive, 30 ft max, for open water and below certified.
You can party later, sleep later, still get breakfast and make the dive, its awsome.
