    Rum & reggae favorites

What is your favorite Rum (Jamaican or otherwise) and your favorite Reggae song/artist?

Rum at home is Capt Morgan, Rum in Jamaica is Appleton Especial....Reggae song is "Tomorrow People" by Ziggy Marley, Reggae artist is definitely Bob Marley.

When in Jamaica it is Appleton Rum, any kind. But we leave Appleton for Jamaica. When we see it in the store, it always brings back great memories and DIF. As far as reggae goes, Bob Marley is the best, but Ben Harper's "Burn One Down" is our favorite.

At home Captain Morgan Amber but alternate between that and Appleton for a change of pace. Best rum I have had is Pyrat from Anguilla. Favourite Reggae: Bad Boys by Inner Circle although it is hard pressed to beat Bob Marley.

We bring Applton home with us and some how get it to last a few months. Then I am out of luck till we refill at the airport on the way home.
As to the music. I have a CD from "Oh Shit" the piano player at HIII that I pull out when I feel the need.

Wow...Wray & Nephew overproof rum will get the party started quickly! I have a couple bottles of that at home, but only use it as one of the three rums to make New Orleans-style Hurricanes

It maybe the cheap rum but coruba rum is like pancake syrup, so smooth, no bite, perfect dirty banana material. Ziggy is the perfect artist, but Ben Harpers burn one down always goes down great too.

I'm such a lightweight... I like the Coconut Rum (mixed with Pineapple Juice= yummy!) and I'm a sucker for Sean Paul...not only does he look good, his music gets my booty shakin!

I don't think Rum Cream actually counts as Rum (or Bailey's would count as whisky, Drambuie as Scotch, etc.). Shaggy's songs are more suitable to Hedo than most reggae performers'.
