We've been using a Gillette Venus razor for a couple of years now. Gillette keeps changing blade styles. We're currently using the Embrace blades. The area we shave is our bikini area, completely shaved. Please make a suggestion if you've found a better razor or blade style for that body area. We're trying to get as smooth as possible without nicking our sensitive parts. I (she) am also being lasered so we're just trying to get rid of the stubble that the laser hasn't removed yet.
We love the beach especially in the Caribbean!

I think you mean "safety razor". A "straight" razor is something you see in the slasher movies....
The Gilette Fusion Proglide was recommended to us from this forum and it has worked very well. There is a power variety, but don't know what the difference would be. We have just the regular and like it.

I love & trust my wife, but NO WAY is she gettin near my junk with a straight razor!!!
Also using Gilette. Don't mind it as I find Schick goes dull on me quickly.
Any advice on preventing/and or soothing razor burn/bumps?

Body Bare electric razor is a fine little tool that everybody should have.First you get the stubble down
to about 1/8th inch or less conventionally and then apply some talc and have at it.Talk about SMOOTH!
Also easy on the sensitive parts.I have found the battery powered to be better than the rechargeable tho.
And the use of Astroglide when using a conventional razor is the ticket.Also,you can get tiny bikini razors
from Amazon which are made with smaller more maneuverable heads that work extremely well.

That's odd I use schick exterme 3 razors and can shave my whole body and it still be sharp, just hard to keep the blades unclogged with soap and hair
