F i n a l l y going in December...

Well, our on-again/off-again trip is on again. We’ve had some roadblocks,
but we’re finally set for our virgin trip to HII for the first week of December
(02-09 Dec) and we’re wondering what its like at time of year?

I see that DennyP has a WWW group scheduled for that same time so I
imagine it won’t be dead, but just what should we expect? Does anyone
know of any other groups or activities that we should know about during
that time?

I would imagine that more people are that over the Thanksgiving weekend
with the ‘free’ time off and possibly during the Christmas/New Years
holidays, but what about half way between them?

My guess would be that if the WWW group wasn’t going to be there it would
be like a ghosttown. Is that a good assumption? Will the group make that
much difference?

Also, we’re wondering about the weather at that time of the year. I’ve
checked and see that the average temperature is only a few degrees cooler
than spring or fall, but what about the water temperature? Is it still pleasant
for swimming/floating that late in the year?

There will be lots of activity during the WWW visitation.I know several people who go at that time and they have a blast and there are alot of people there.The water temps.will be just fine in the ocean,the pool temps depends on how much water they add to the pool during your visit.I have seen the pool pretty chilly when we go at Spanksgiving time,but it warms up after awhile.If this is your virgin trip,be prepared to be wanting to book another trip before you get home because this is one addicting vacation spot.We will be there from 11-12 to 11-24 and we will try and leave enough booze so you can at least get a couple of drinks!!

My wife and I were there at that time last year, and are going again the same time this year. The www people are a great group and we look forward to being with them again this year. The weather was perfect, not blistering hot during the day, cool enough at night to enjoy the hot tub. Water temp in both the pool and the sea was pleasant as well. Last year there weren't many people there besides the www group, although a few we talked to wound up there because the resorts in Mexico were damaged in hurricanes. We enjoyed the fact that it wasn't super crowded. You've picked a great week for your first trip. You'll be planning your next trip before you leave.

Anyone else care to comment on going at that time of the year?

We've never had a 'vacation' at that time of the year before, at
least not a vacation where we didn't go and visit family for the
holidays, and it just seems a bit strange

We also picked the Oceanview Nude...which since this is our first
trip to HII (or any resort of this type) was quite a bold move.

It was a nervous couple of days making the decision. I was ready
to just jump into the deep end, but my better half finally said, 'What
the hell. We may never do this again, so we might as well go all the
way..."

Ocean side nude was a big leap for us. The decision was made while we were on the phone with the travel agent. At least we can walk out of the room dressed for the day (naked) if we want to. Shorter distance to crawl after a few beverages also. We're both pretty nervous about the whole idea but have wanted to try it for some time now. Should be a good time. We'll see you on the 5th.
