Nude or Prude Room

Trying to keep the cost of the trip down. Does it matter if we stay on the nude or prude side. We will want to play on the nude side and be at the nude hot tub until the wee hours but don't really care that much about the room because we don't plan to be there very much. Is there any reason that we should stay on the nude side rather than the prude side?

the only reason I could think of is it would be a shorter walk to the nude beach...is that worth the extra cost...up to you.

Yes, it's really just a bit longer walk. If you are someone who goes back and forth a lot between the nude pool and room each day you may like staying a bit closer but if you're trying to keep costs down the prude side should be OK. The resort isn't so big that walking from one side to the other is that big of a deal.

I would stay with prude beach, though. There is one building on the prude garden side that's WAY out there, and very close to the road. We don't mind a little bit of a walk, but that building was a bit too much.

Prude for cost and so you have time to walk and let things settle before nap and bed times is my view. Saving some money is always good to. That helps us get another night in.

Besides shorter walk It is easier just go out of your room already nude without worrying to wear something just for the walk.

The resort (except main lobby and dining areas) is all clothing optional, so no need anymore to put on clothes to walk to the nude side. So glad they did that!!!

About 2 years ago (ish) Both Hedo 3 and 2 went clothing optional around the same time and Hedo 3 closed down 1 1/2 years ago.

The difference in price for nude/prude is crazy. I've stayed both, I really like the "H" block, that's nude side garden in a large two story building. It is central to everything and if you're upstairs in the back, it's quiet.

But I can do a lot of short walks from the prude side for an $800.00 savings. It's usually always quiet there.

The company I booked with the difference wasn't all that great (not $800 anyway). We booked GVN. We'll see how crazy it is...maybe the next trip we'll do prude side.

we had no choice in it... when we booked all there was they said was GVN so we took it... just wants to get there for the first time..... after this trip we will know more about everything there.... we don't mind the noise at all... you can have the DJ playing all night outside our room and we would still sleep....lol.... down to 11 sleeps...

Last year we stayed GVN (H Block second floor) and really liked it (after learning to close the window louvres and the bathroom door before going to bed). Booked OVP this year because we got a really good price. Our only concern is being "bumped" as we are not with a group. Actually, I would stay in a refrigerator box on the beach but herladyship is a little more discerning!

We stayed in the "way out" garden prude building last April. The walk is not bad at all, and as takemetonegril pointed out, it's a nice way to stretch your legs at the end of the night. We had a great time exploring the entire resort both day and night -- we were already walking a bit farther than most, so why not go out of our way and have adventures? The car noise was noticeable from our room, however we live next to a busy road here in the US so this did not bother us one bit. The price was significantly less than GVN. Many people will tell you "get the cheaper room and stay an extra night!" I would say this is sound advice.

One gripe I will mention about the GVP building where we stayed: when approaching the building from the beach (technically, the middle garden area with the secret hot tub), we had to cross a rather rocky area to get to the paved walkway that led to our room. Doing this barefoot was not pleasant. So, should you book GVP and get this building, either have flip flops at all times or figure out a different way to get back to your room(piggyback, perhaps?)
