Yeah... Not sure the blowdryer is a good idea unless you have a transformer. And at 20$, I would just deal....

You should not need a transformer as Jamaica is still 120 volts (not 240 like most of Europe), but it is 50 cycles, not 60 like in the US. So clocks run slow and other devices have minor problems like overheating at times. A transformer won't change the frequency, just the voltage.

I 2nd with Bibabe list of pharmaceuticals!! Bring the effen drugstore with you just in case you need something. Nothing worse than getting sick or hurt and not having what you need to make yourself better. They have a nurse on site but she is expensive!!!! We usually give the left overs to the maid or a staff member...makes them happy too.

Something also we bring now is a jug of powered Gatorade and some emergen-c...it really helps with the dehydration....that you will have!!!

2-3 pair of flip flops, I always lose a pair or have a blow out.

Finally extra batteries for the camera and toys....beer pong raft....business cards with your contact info.

Extra batteries is definitely a must. We don't travel without the toy bag.

But a beer pong raft? Never heard of that. The Mrs. Claims to be a world beer pong champ, but we have never heard of a beer pong raft. What is that? Our beer pong consists of a ping pong table and beer glasses.

Small first aid kit...polysporin, bandaids....It's amazing the small cuts and abrasions you get and don't remember from where. Saves a trip to the nurse for something as mundane as a bandaid. Also we take throat lozenges...get a sore throat every time we go...too much talking I guess

Bring something for releaving stomach problems. The extra spice in the food and over eating and drinking will cause problems for some. The water is fine for drinking but my wife always had problems til the year we visited Hedo twice in seven months. After that she never had a problem. For the females, you will be spending a lot of time in the hot tub which can cause problems with your natural PH levels down below. So have your Dr give you a script for yeast infections. If you have room toss a tupperware container in the suitcase. You can always put something inside of it that you are packing to keep from taking up space. It's good for keeping snacks in, that you bring back from the dinning room for eating later in the room. We love the cookies they have there at lunch time.
