We would be very interested in hearing more from people who have been to Cap D'Agde.

Have you been there Indulgent? If so would love to hear how you found it there.

We're based in Ottawa, but he is from the UK and we spend quite a bit of time in the UK and France -- so Cap D'Agde is somewhere we're interested in spending some time.

OK.. well Cap is something else.. built as a naturist resort in the 50's / 60's it has, of late become a destination for the 'Libertine' or lifestyle [swingers]. On a cold damp day, you might wonder why on earth anyone would bother turning up.. the place is quite tired, although there is a regeneration in place that is developing the older buildings... But ad the people and the freedom and Cap comes alive.. an underlying sexual tension.. anything can and probably does happen...
The Cap is a naturist village and in the peak season, you might have 30 or 40,000 people over the different zones and campsites.. that's a lot of flesh! The beach has three main zones.. family, couples and gay... the couples beach is lively and pds's as you guys over the pond call them are frequent.. full sex on the beach is often seen...

At night, the village comes alive and the ladies dress up or down in sexy revealing costumes.. there are several lifestyle clubs offering whatever flavour you might fancy... it's all there... most of all though it's the freedom and the friendship.. the removal of barriers and the warmth of the people that engage... it really is unique..

We are planning to go there next june/july (god willing and the creek dont rise)' so starting a cap forum would be great. We have heard good things about the place from people that have been there.

Well it is different... it's not five star luxury.. although Jardin D'Eden and Babylone purport to offer an upmarket proposition.. the fact is the costs are five star but the service and accommodation is not.. however, what they do offer is something quite different.. a poll party atmosphere with emphasis on fun and where pretty much anything goes...

We are going to Cap in July for a couple days as part of a nude cruise of the Mediterranean. While we were at a lifestyle resort in Europe this past summer, we heard from some Europeans who had been to Cap that the popular resorts and clubs are predominantly controlled by mafia types and one needed to be careful about where they went. Also, these places tended to require alot of "pocket lining" even to gain entrance or even get service once inside. This made us very uneasy, and we are hoping it isn't true or is exaggerated because we heard nothing of the sort from other people from Europe while we were there. We've been to Ibiza and while the popular clubs are very expense in Ibiza Town, we never unsafe or as if we were being "shaken down" service. Can't speak for the other city on Ibiza though. We read ahead of time that it was filled with drunk, young hooligans and stayed away..and had a fantastic time on the nude beaches by day and the Ibiza clubs by night.

Would love to hear about other people's experiences at Cap though!

I've do like Lanzarote, there is a great nude beach/village at Charco de Palo too.

While we were in Lanzarote, we traveled around the island a couple days. Of all the places we visited, Charco de Palo was the hardest to find and among the most disappointing when we arrived. So we didn't stay there very long at all. Overall we weren't impressed with any of the nude beaches on Lanzarote....but Spice is amazing and visiting some of the Vanilla areas was worthwhile: We rode a Moroccan camel across a lava field...and the views from Mirador del Rio (not to mention the architecture of the building itself) were breathtaking and unique.

R and R.. don't think you need to be worried about underworld involvement / presence.. Cap is a comfortable place to be.. the most you will have to deal with is [too much] attention from single guys..

Be sure to try:

Melrose.. the bar that comes alight at night, couples only with lots of poles for girls and sometimes guys to dance and get naked.. and they do!

The Mousse Parties.. 200 - 300 naked people covered in foam dancing together and well.. you work it out! Held daily from 2 - 7 in July and August...

Le Glamour.. www.leglamour.com - also has photographs of the Mousse Parties the best club in the resort...

Thanks so much for the reassurances and for the great advise. The Mousse Party sounds like it will be a blast!!! And pole dancing is always a favorite activity for her and spectator sport for him!

We usually go to H2 and moved to the UK two years ago. We would love to get some equivalent European destinations! We would love a forum on this.

We have been talking about going to Cap for years. So we are glad to see it being discussed here. We need to learn as much as we can so that we can start planning our trip. We have lots of relatives in France, especially in Paris, who keep inviting us to come visit. We hope to spend a week in Paris, then a week in Cap. Does anyone know which of the hotels are swinger hotels? What are the best months to go? We want it to be warm enough to swim, but don't want to go in summer when it is super crowded and expensive. Are May and Sept. warm enough for swimming? Any info will be appreciated!! And if anyone is planning a group trip, we would love to join!!! Cowgirl and Cowboy
